Ren'Py - It's a Gluttonous Life [va0.51] [Loneclaw]

This is a great game with a quite unique premise! The art is great and there's plenty of situations and different characters to interact with. Love the Vore and Unbirth (my favorite!) concepts and there's still plenty of things to add, maybe some Urination and Scat? Would be quite cool and fit very well with the game concept.

If I could leave a recommendation for the dev or devs, it would be to make the money making and especially the relationship meter less grindy. It takes months to even fill like one third of the relationship meter with a character and that's if I'm constantly trying to fill that one characters bar, almost single mindedly. Money too, it takes a huge amount of time to get a minimally decent amount of money, and the Bank and Stock Broker don't really make you money, I've had lots of money invested in them and they give back like 5 bucks a month! Not very interesting right now, those two...

All in all, a great game already with still lots of potential to grow! If the dev/devs read this, keep up the great work!

I'm not into the vore aspect of the game I'll admit, but I like the furry aspect of the game at least. So I'll try to rate it based on the furry aspect. The furry aspect is fine, the vore is mostly avoidable (if you're not living with jasmine). I'll admit there is a grind, I didn't mind it because boredom but might not be for others.

Now, the sex is mediocre and pretty few and hard to get to. The sounds are alright, there's something, maybe a little off, but serviceable. I guess spoilers if you really care but they're not too great tbh
Basically, this game might be really good if you're really into vore, but for myself that only wanted the furry sex scenes, it was a little disappointing, especially since no gallery so you have to save before the scenes to be safe. It just feels the vore is heavily priortized since you can ask everyone to eat you immediately and they'll just say yes more than likely and the angles for the actual sex scenes usually aren't great and it can be SO hard to intiate them for anyone except sigrid and that's if you're not living with her. A big thing I wish for the game is making initiating sex easier, especially after you've already done it with a girl and become friends with benefits, and not have to rely on chance to fuck either elaine or jasmine. Like something as simple as, "hey let's fuck" if your relationship is high enough or at least if you've done it with them at least once. that and maybe improve the scenes angles, I get you want to try and include both genders and try to get around it by never showing a dick and just saying you guide it to their pussy so you don't have to create 2 versions of the scene with and without a dick, but come on.

There is alot of spam clicking and save scumming to be done in this game if you want to get anywhere. Also there is a stock market mechanic that i am not 100% if it works or not.
Pro tip. find the Hippo lady, become her feeder, unless you have 3000. and just save scum black jack with her for cash when you become good enough friends to live with her.

Game is simple vore fetish, however some games, you get eaten and thats it, this one, at least you can struggle, or ask nicely. basically, are you strong enough or chrismatic enough to escape. i was neither, so i save scummed

I'm a degenerate that's very much into vore, and far too few games fill that niche. Especially ones with visuals. Sadly, this game just ain't it, chief. From the writing to the visuals, they cut as many corners as they can to put content...somewhere? I initially played this a long time ago in a much earlier version, and rather unsurprisingly, the game didn't even pretend to have quality or quantity from the start. That hasn't changed in the slightest since then.

For the writing, it's very, very short, dry, and lacking in every way fathomable. The best example is a line of dialogue from the shark character when you ask to be let out of her stomach, in which the response from her is simply "Lol, no." If this were just a one off thing, I'd laugh. Instead, that is literally all I got in response from her 10 times back to back. There is no diversity, nor is there life or description.

There's no effort. "Lol, no" perfectly summarizes every last thing in this game. If they can get away with 2 words, they will. If they can get away with 2 images, they will. The game and its trends follows perfectly as such. When a character eats you, there are 2 external POV pngs that just get pasted on top of different backgrounds. The internal view is just the one, no matter how long you're within the stomach.

Props for the dev making their own models, or at least finding some that definitely aren't common, but they are not great. Their eyes actually face in different directions more often than not, and...I guess the rest is personal preference, but they're flawed.

I never can stomach(hehe) more than 3 hours of the gameplay loop to find out what, if anything, has been added. The gameplay loop is dreadful, being as unoriginal as it is lazy. You go to work on set days, you pay your rent, you go on dates, you repeat. Typically, the appeal here is that the characters and dates are interesting. They're supposed to have individualistic personalities and writing to back it up. Do we have any of that?

All in all, the game is just bad. Not the worst, but not far from it. Making $2.5k a month on patreon warrants a lot more than this. Quality tantamount to 2 words for a reply to one of the core actions of the game is passable if you're making sub 200$ a month on a brand new game...but this has been around for a while. It's bad. It's really bad. It only gets 2 stars for not using the same SFM models that everyone trying to make a quick buck uses...and honestly, it would probably have been better off doing so.
