Now I'm writing a review that rates the game and only gives it 2 stars.
As some have already read in this thread, I'm not fundamentally opposed to using AI-generated images, as they can provide more continuity than randomly crunching 3-second snippets from the internet, with characters sometimes old, sometimes young, sometimes blonde, sometimes brunette, etc.
I like the cartoonish drawing style here. What I don't like, however, is the massive repetition of the same images just to create the illusion of activity on the screen.
In a conversation (more on that later), the image changes with each click, but it repeats every 3-5 clicks.
Reduce this frequency to one image change every 3 clicks.
I like maybe 50% of the images I've seen so far, the other 50% have too many errors to fit in with the rest.
Unfortunately, the images lack a certain quality standard in terms of consistency. The bra changes from lace lingerie to faux leather to lace lingerie. And since the images are constantly repeated, this happens all the more often.
But that happens with almost everything. In the BJ scene with Alma, the cock is sometimes 10 cm long, sometimes 30 cm, sometimes straight, sometimes curved like an extra-curved banana, sometimes the base is 2 cm in diameter, sometimes 5 cm.
After I beat the first girl and switched to Haley Blazy, saved, quit, and later reloaded the last autosave, I always ended up on the start screen after answering the first question. If I used an earlier autosave, continuing to play worked.
About the conversation. The intro, mostly just speech bubbles of memory, is extremely long. Then a brief explanation of what's going on in jail, and then questions upon questions. There aren't really any interpersonal relationships.
The gameplay may require some general knowledge, but unfortunately, in some categories, it also requires specialized knowledge. Not everyone is an amateur geologist or an all-knowing movie fan. It's good that you can choose the question category; it's bad that the questions quickly repeat themselves.
I noticed a mistake in a math question, but unfortunately, I wasn't presented with that exact question again to check.
The downside here is that if you don't speak English, you often have to guess. More languages would be helpful in the future.
Overall, though, it doesn't justify the effort you have to put in to make progress. I didn't explicitly count, of course, but after the long intro, it takes about 300 clicks to complete a girl. That becomes a real time-waster.
