Ren'Py - Completed - Jedi Trainer [v1.0.0] [Millennium Malcolm]

First of, many thanks to the dev Millennium Malcolm.
Now with v1.0 finally here (playing since v0.7) I'll give an immediate 5/5 for this very enjoyable / joyful game.

IF you actually like the first six movies (before the dark times, before the Empire of the Mouse...) you'll like this game as well, as the dev has included many small snippets, anecdotes, and stories of the SW lore...and twisted them in a very funny and also lewd way.

You can also change the appearance and clothing of the girls, though I stopped doing it after a while (see further below).

I wouldn't even call the various se. scenes with lore characters (including my favorite SW se. girl Ahsoka) as important, which are about average and a bit simple on the dev side, however the primary story telling and the many included funny parts make this game (imo) far above average and absolutely worthwhile to play at least once.

There are some flaws though:
- the (a bit bad) and somewhat unmotivated unlocking of se. scenes on the ship only (there are no other locations than the ship's quarters),
- the (quite bad) resets of the carefully chosen clothing and styles for the girls after each new start and loading of the game,
- the (really bad) decision of the dev to include necessary parts of the main story in RANDOM encounters on planets, especially with Ahsoka having to randomly encounter her 3 times on Coruscant to continue the main and side plots.

A surprisingly good game considering how it looks on first impression. The model art is pretty poor but the sex scene art is better. The dialogue and story are highly comedic and as long as you don't try to take it seriously and just enjoy it for what it is, it's a genuinely enjoyable time playing.
Corruption mechanics are basically nil though, it's not really a trainer game as much as "click on the button to unlock the next level of corruption when the story allows you to".

If you liked orange trainer, you'll probably like this one. compared to orange trainer, the positives:

• roster is bigger
• scenss are all animated
• none of the characters are fan fiction OCs
• no prostitution/NTR if you're not into that

The neutrals:

• art quality is about the same

The negatives:

• Corruption is way simpler.
• Only 3-4 scenes per character: non-penetrative, vaginal sex, group sex
• Scenes are also simplistic.

This is not a huge game. It takes maybe 6-8 hours to unlock everything.

So the art is not great, but it's got character.
The story is good, and lore accurate to SW, it fits in! (as well as porn can)

it's a classical renpy trainer with exploration and funny writing, if you're up for SW erotic games, then this is the chosen one

With reguards to version 0.7.1:

The writing is actually pretty good, I was surprise to find that much info and care dedicated to the story telling, the characters and the lore given.
The clothing system is impressive, with a lot of different choices.
The art isn't great whoever, and the animations are honestly pretty bad, not to mention a game breaking bug i ran into, occuring when i tried to get more than a bj from ventress, putting me on the hyperspace screen with music playing.
Other than that, this game has a LOT of potential, especially since the writing displays true respect for the source material, it just needs some polishing and bug fixing.

A very promising start to a game. It needs some work though, as right now it's quite buggy. The plot is funny, and though the art could use a few touch-ups, it's certainly serviceable. We will watch your career with great interest.

Review for 0.7

This game has potential, the idea is fun and gamewise the execution is competent. But it's not actually that good right now.

bad:

• There are currently a significant amount of bugs, which hopefully will get fixed in future versions.
• The mission system doesn't work properly and i ended up getting stuck at some points.
• It's pretty grindy, part of which you can kinda avoid by saving and loading the gambling game, but tbh i would rather just not have to do that. and other parts are still grindy.
• The main problems is that it just doesn't have good porn. The art is mediocre at bad, bad at its worst. There is very little of it. The clothes system is nice, but doesn't actually affect anything or get a reaction. This is what really needs to change before this game can get enjoyable.

Good

• Notably the writing and sound design are pretty good.
• There are also a number of great characters to interact with.

Overall it's a poor porn game and a mediocre game. but it does have potential, so hopefully it will improve. 2/5 for the game, 5/5 for the theme.

An enjoyable Star Wars trainer game that had the potential to be much more than it is.

PROS
Decent Plot (Nothing fancy, nothing complicated)
Quite a few Star Wars beauties to conquer (Hopefully more in the future)
Decent implementation of quests
Plenty of Exploration
The references (i.e. the Tardis, Captain Kirk and Spock, and RoboCop all hanging out in the bar)

CONS
The artwork (Not terrible, but not great either)
The grinding (Not as terrible as other games, but could use some tweaking)
