[...] there is a download link to a second PC version, it's right below the PC download link, at the part saying "(If you're having issues with the PC version above, try this one.)", that version worked fine for me, no errors.
Stoper recompiled the game with an older version of RenPy (v7.3.5) which use software renderer instead hardware rendering. With version 7.4.x RenPy switched over to hardware rendering only. Means, players system will decide which graphic engine will be used (OpenGL, ANGLE, etc.).

If your system can't select the right graphic engine the game won't start or show only a black screen. In this case you either have to switch the graphic renderer manually or recompile the game with RenPy SDK.

Not sure, but could Marvelous Designer ( ) be the right tool for that?

That tool is damn pricey, but used by almost all major studios.
I am using MD in my workflow. But it's usually not a solution for fitting clothes in DAZ, or at least not on its own, because the DAZ clothes are too low res, they are just not made to be draped in MD.

Well we know he works for/is part of, the LOP website.

And as awesome as their games have been in the past, they are slow as hell to release new content.

Sound familiar?

Do we know what Stoper's real job is? Maybe he has his own graphic design studio or works for a company that use it.... Well, we never will know.
If he has his own studio, then why so late to release updates? anyway, I don't mind even if he is pirated. after all we are in a pirate site. :ROFLMAO:

Again, nobody is forcing you to support the dev every month.
You can easily pledge only on months with a release,or once per year or never.

He did commission work for LOP - a single game as far as I know, and this was before he started developing JOHN.
My name is David, Call Girl Denise, Living With Lana and Erotic Date with Gina are some of his lop work and as you might expect very good visuals.

sorry, who is eva kiss? no offense ment
Eva Kiss was the developer of Good Girl Gone Bad, which is quite a good game. She completed that game, and is now developing another game named Our Red String. I haven't played the new game, but I've heard that it's also pretty good.

Art is art, whether it's drawn by hand or created digitally with a rendering engine. But one of the nifty things about art is that we all have our preferences. Some of us like one thing, and some like another. So I don't think that there's anything disrespectful about you not liking the hand drawn stuff. You aren't required to share my tastes.

Depends on the workload. Her first game Good Girl Gone Bad use static cardboard drawings as layers on front of real background pictures. Probably the cheapest and fastest way to produce content. In Our Red String she shows a massive improvement in her drawing skills, but still use the cheap cardboard trick to produce her images.

If you compare Our Red String with JOHN you will see that Stoper place the character into the environment not as layers. This, in combination with lights, gives the depth in renders. Characters, objects and other things don't seem to look out of space or out of focus.

Be it drawings or 3d, both have their advantages and disadvantages. Drawings are really popular in East-Asia (check Korean website webtoon or the adult version of it) where 3d is more popular in the West.
