Jessica's Choices: Origins is part one of the four series (which are yet to be released) that follows the life of Jessica and all the events that entail.
Compared to Series of Events, which is a standalone spin-off, Origins features much better renders, and the developer, DoAdventures, has become quite skilled in DAZ to produce some amazing, high-quality shots compared to the previous game.
Origins is not your vanilla female MC game. The game offers quite a variety of choices at every turn, and depending on your choices, the story can get quite dark and grim, which is a rare occurrence these days. Politically correct developers and Patreon-law abiding games have watered down any chances for real adult and mature games, and Origins is a breath of fresh air in those regards—a game that isn't afraid to show us some diabolical NSFW scenes.
The dev isn't afraid to showcase mature themes like non-con, blackmail, rape, BDSM, and molestation that are very much lacking in most games these days. The bus harassment scene in Ep. 1 is singlehandedly the best I've seen in the Chikan genre.
The main attraction for me is the branching story lines. If done excessively, they can create a shallowness of content and, if done too little, can defeat the purpose of a novel and make it into a KVN. So far, the game manages a good balance between choices and consequences, and you do really feel the change in outcomes.
Some Pros and Cons:
+Healthy number of choices.
+Does not shy away from displaying really dark themes.
+The story is full of twists and turns and does not follow a pattern.
+Intricate renders
-Things move too fast. It does not allow the player to immerse himself in the world much... Perhaps it is intentional to create an atmosphere of intrigue and mystery.
-Jessica is not a virgin, despite Origins marking the beginning of this story. Her deflowering will be a flashback in a future game, which was personally disappointing to hear.
-Lack of some basic vanilla aspects like groping, fondling breasts, fingering, kissing, etc. are desperately needed. Renders going straight from cloth to nude should be avoided.
Lastly, choices that keep sprawling or branching out too often in a single parent branch should be avoided. It does not allow the story to progress, and too much effort can be wasted behind a single choice while others are neglected. Example: A-A-A-B could receive more attention than A-B-A-A, which means players that did not pick these would not see a lot of "new" content and would be left disappointed.
