Ren'Py - Journey [v0.40.1] [ezh]

Graphics can be good, although it's limited to like 2 images per encounter.
Dialogues are non-existant, and suffer from translation issues.
Gameplay is terrible, just click-spam on the attack button. If you have enough levels you win (=> get a sex scene), if you don't you lose (=> get a sex scene), then go to sleep to get back to full health, rinse and repeat.

lets start with the negatives
the writing, what little there is, mainly dialogue, is written by a non-english speaker and is almost pointless.

despite the option to select straight or homosexual scenes at the start, you ALWAYS get the choice to see ANY scene anyway, so why even add the option? sure sign of poor development.

the mechanics do not hold up. battles are hit or miss regardless of level. mainly miss in order to showcase another poorly made gay sex scene.

the whole thing is almost literally a gay sex scene selector with thoughtless mechanics and barely serviceable dialogue, as for story.....well good luck discovering one.

now for the positives

some of the maps look alright

there are other games on this site that do everything this one does, much MUCH better. all it requires is a quick search and a click on a download link.

if you have an almost empty 'ignore' list then this may indeed fill a space

damn the graphics are so good but the game is just so bad...

graphics 5/5

animations 3/5... they are smooth but really short. only 2 frame.

story+gameplay 1/5:

many bugged elements in gameplay. (+50 magic didn't increase damage by 50 until you increase your mana... the values are probably switched despite the visual indicators)
translation is bad. (occasionally even russian) but it's more-or-less understandable, but the writing is laughably bad.

you have to grind to get through stuff. many bugs.

i dont get it, the graphics are usually hardest to make, the story is usually easiest, I've never seen such a quality graphics game with such garbage story and gameplay.

let's hope it improves. story/writing is easier to improve on than graphics.

nice graphics, content and storyline. Enjoyed playing it because it has a great viriaties with M to M content as much as M to W. I also enjoyed the storyline and i am looking forward to new updates. It has a lot of things to do.

Discounting mobile style gameplay, little to no lore or story, a single animation per scene, and the clear quality difference between gay and straight scenes when it comes to quality:
I would still advize the M/M lovers to simply download the game rip and watch animations, while the M/F enjoyers can skip it entierly, based on the boring grind alone.
And it was specifically designed to be that boring, since there is a cheat behind the paywall.
