RPGM - Completed - Karin's Rekindling [v1.01] [Zero Fusa Darkness]

Typical Jrpg probably made with rpg maker. Very short and can be done in an hour on your first playthrough. A lot of static reading with no animations. Karin, the main protagonist, is a cat woman... or femman? (the game doesn't specify but not that i care).

Cliche scenarios and you can't escape from h-scenes (no maiden run). Contains a fishing game... Of course XD. Karin has a strange relationship with Senpai (the antagonist of the game). I actually skipped all dialogues after their first intercourse because it just felt far-fetched. I also encountered frame issues but could've been my CPU.

Lastly, I completed the game on my first playthrough but would say this is a somewhat trial and error jrpg. If you don't raise Karin's attack high enough, you won't be able to complete the final exam. I wouldn't recommend this game but i liked the grinding concept (training, collect items and sell). Also, this game doesn't contain many BGM but I freaking love the outdoors soundtrack.

Quite short game. It has generous losing policy. You lose a fight, you can refight it with a boost so you don't lose it 2nd time. No NTR, no defeat rape scenes.
While on that, there are only 4 scenes, which is fine for such a short game, not much to grind and as said, you can lose and just win it on the next instance. Art is great, looks really good. It's up to my alley so I like it even more.

Recommended if you need something short.

Short, sweet & simple.

This game summarizes many other corruption games that does not involve time stop, hypnotism, prostitution, netorare, or rape.

Combat is fair, even if you screw up you get a boost for at least trying.

CG's are decent, they lean slightly closer to cute than lewd.

Art is good, and the scenes are nice if short. Lost a star for not having many scenes in the first place.

Combat and stat training was kinda eh. I barely thought about what I was doing and it made no difference. Short of just choosing not to increase your stats at all I can't see how you'd lose.

I think this game really does deliver what it promises. It is an extremely short game with only 4 scenes, but all those scenes are well done.

As for the actual game loop, this game revolves around the main character taking three exams, you have information on what you will be fighting in the exam and have to raise your stats in between the fight to successfully beat your opponent...or do you?

I honestly really like the concept this game is going for, but for my taste the exam 'bosses' are really easy to beat, which invalidates the effort you may put in getting stronger. If the game was longer and this idea was better developed I would give this game 5 stars, this has a lot of potencial..but reviewing it like a game now..there simply isn't enough game to really get into this, while I like the scenes, 3 stars is the best I can do.
