Cynthias slave had a collar. Maybe the Decocks(sp) weren't quite as advanced as Veronica. We do know that the Decocks definitely had Bluetooth, from the message that Nadia put on his collar via her phone.
An implant that requires voice activation, possibly Bluetooth, a shocking mechanism, and or a detonation in a vital area, (like the heart or the brain) just large enough to render a slave unalive, by today's standards would be massive. Sorry but I'm not getting on the bomb bus. Pick your poison: reality or fiction. Nano bots may be possible in a futurist scenario, Star Trek had nano bots, maybe Karlsson's again but does too.

We have gaming reality—chips capable of killing people. So all your possible complaints about what is possible (or impossible) in a futurist scenario, in which scientists calmly synthesize deadly genetic diseases, work on anti-gravity engines, have power over the genome, and thus have the ability to change the size of human organs (such as the penis or tongue) in a couple of game days (lol) or even completely genetically redesign the body, please express to Tess, not to me.
Be that as it may, I will remain in this position, where there is something electronic and deadly dangerous in Kane, if only because such devices exist in this game world, while deadly genetic diseases that kill instantly — do not.

We know from Patricia during the last part of the prison test in Episode 2 that all participants "have been injected with special chips that can administer pain in many different ways." ... " these chips can be activated to inflict pain by specific superiors that are authorized by voice to do so"
It's definetely a challenge to equip these special chips with sensors to hear voice-commands and additional means to recognize authorized voices as well as recognize the spoken name of the person whose body they are in and especially to know which part of the body they are in (since pain can be limited to certain body parts) ... maybe the technology is similar to current chip implants which can control insuline level or heart frequency?
It's a Patricia quote from when still in prison. However, Patricia really knows very little when it actually comes down to it. So it's a throwaway comment, meant to incentivize them with no real weight behind it.

It's a quote from the early game, written about 5 (!) years ago ... there is always the chance that Tess forgot, mixed up things or simply changed the rules ... at that point the mc was tested for k4 - k6, so k10 sounded nice. KG is fiction, so Tess can change things as she likes ...
There is another more unspecific quote from Raven later in the game :
rav "Don't fall in that trap [pname]. Have you forgotten your shock chips? They don't just shock you know...your location is always tracked very precisely."
rav "So don't relax too much. Keep working hard and striving. If you do finish the program and graduate to a very high rank...those chips will go away."
rav "And before you ask, yes, the company really will remove the chips. I saw it personally with Katsumi."
rav "She even took us all out for a massive party at her expense with her newfound power and wealth...hint hint hint [pname]!"
And one from Dominique :
d "All workers are also shock chipped -- not the same as yours -- but with a similar design."
d "Your chips can be removed safely, but theirs are permanent. Keep this in mind as working this position means you are stuck...forever. Until you pass away."

Yeah, he is all surrounded by poisonous snakes, and the big snakes of them are Karlsson's family and co, Inlcuding all the ones who dom players are already actively pursuing romance with them. More & More I think of this, I'll go to revenge mood again lol.
What I got from previous posts and memos about next release :
- next release is v0.8.3.1 (first half of 3rd part of Episode 8)
- scenes/renders are almost completed
- there will be a test version before release, probably this month
-> so my guess : ETA for release of v0.8.3.1 is likely November?
- Tess "will be "off" from roughly December 15 to January 15 from the game." (honeymoon/holyday)
Correct?
No offence.
Season 1 (v0.7b) was released early in May 2023. That's almost 2.5 years ago ...
With still a sixth part of Episode 8 missing after coming release, Episode 8 on completion will likely have cost more than 3 years development time.
As far as I remember, in total 12 or more episode were planned.
(Based on E8 (3-3.5 years), that would be another 12-14 years.
Even as single part episodes (1-1.5 years) it would be another 4-6 years, so likely 2030-2032.)
Is there a rough estimate how long KG will run?
I'm going to keep this shorter and sweeter because I'm getting into the mode where I will be less talkative and focused on finishing up.
My wedding stuff is like a tidal wave building up too, so it is getting trickier to balance more and more stuff but I am managing ok. It's not too hard to do that when you're so excited!
My energy is much better now, but people around me are still reminding me a lot topace myself with time and what I eat, etc.
Bottom line, I did about 122 renders last week and we're up to 3,542 renders total. I am about 1.5 scenes left from the end of content creation in how I am planning.
I listed last week my long checklist so no need to do that again. But I hope to finish the sub scene this week and shift to the last big dom scene set for the Test Version. If I get to a content complete portion, then editing. I'm working hard and trying my best to get this out on some level soon. I'll keep at it and I apologize if I am less chatty on Discord or responding to messages. I'm kind of getting into that mode especially starting this week even more.
I tweaked another sub scene (last few pics) and added a couple of fixed/tweaks and even a few animations. I've also started reviewing some renders already when getting a bit tired from writing but wanting to jump to another task (this can happen sometimes obviously).
I am also reviewing at the same time a gallery function for the game down the road. It currently has 158 scenes in "boxes" you can click/unlock to show scene from different paths, etc. Still some work to do here too, but I am seeing the big picture now. Beyond that, a bios function of some kind, but this is not my focus right now.
I'm working hard to finish everything! I really appreciate a few people that have stepped up to help me test a few things such as the gallery function and a few language editions (especially the Chinese, it's tough!) of the game for later. I am reaching out soon after the "content complete" stage to have people start testing a bit earlier while I am still editing renders (people can still edit/comment on bigger problems than just crappy renders/images for fixes). If I assume 3800 renders or so and a 2 percent change rate, I'll maybe have to tweak about 75-80 renders or so. I usually redo them and re-render, etc.
Minor side note: been trying to figure out how to bring some Genesis 9 hairs nicely into my current models which are mostly Genesis 8 (older). For KG, the only Gen 9 models are Cole and Charlotte. Most are Gen 8, while a few are older and Gen 3 (Phoebe, Claudia, Celeste are older G3 models). But some of the G9 hairs are so amazing and I want to try and use some of them in alternative looks for future plans.
(One below here is a G9 model with two G9 hairs connected, I have "hid" a few pieces of one of the hairs so it's a custom hair overall roughly put together, a good example of this for a character is Olivia, who has pieces of different faces/bodies, and her hair is altered from Dominique's hair).
Ok, more soon! I am maximizing time on many different fronts so trying not to ramble and waste time! But I'm working hard, thanks all and have a great week!
Another weekly update, and I am getting much closer to being done with content and moving to editing!
I can admit my wedding stuff is starting to accelerate so I am trying to balance out a bit less design work too as I try and move to get this update out!
My prior week was 121 renders and I am now at 3,420 renders overall.
I am going to list my task list to give the best possible idea where I am overall and my goals (so this is from my own organized notes).
Episode 8.3.1 (Test and Final Version Taskings)
Start/finish last sub scene for Test Version 8.3.1 (starting the scene this week)
Start/finish last dom scene for Test Version 8.3.1
Wrap up started main (all players see) scene for Test Version 8.3.1
---- CONTENT COMPLETE for Test Version 8.3.1
---- Editing ----
Dialogue/script reading 1 script only -- corrections, tweaks, changes
Render Corrections Run 1 (just checking folder files one by one) -- list major/minor/nice to change priority renders
Render Corrections 1 -- Fix/Replace Major Category Renders (typically about 2 percent of all pictures in prior updates)
Dialogue script Run 2 -- playing game and reading dialogue with renders not just script, run 1
Render Corrections 2 -- Fix/Replace Minor Renders
Play Testing Runs 1 & 2 --> Dialogue/Renders/Full Notes/Branching/Checking Flags/Pts/Codes
Music
Play Testing Runs 3 through whatever it takes - notes, running all branches, testing, etc.
Full Editing of everything (whatever it takes) --> Goal of Test Version Alpha State
Play Testers One/Two (dom/sub path separate/first to see version outside of me)
Notes/tweaks from feedback
Play Testers 1-4 (three/four new, two on sub, two on dom)
Notes/tweaks
Anais playtest
Full testing/editing/kitchen sink, Anais/fiance/me/Testers 1-4 (final testing)
Final Changes -- create game version from Renpy file format
Final Testing w/same group as prior (now with compiled game version) last minute changes
----- Release Test Version 8.3.1 -----
More feedback from more people, identify all problems with coding, anything else missed.
Editing phase to fix anything that came up
Add additional large sub scene set piece
Add additional large dom scene set piece
Add all animations
All all final tweaks and new testing same process but usually faster since it's way less to cover (mostly just new content and good feedback from Test Version)
--- Release 8.3.1 ---
A bit of a rough format on this page, but generally the process above.

I believe I am possibly within a month of being ready for the Test Version. I never like to make hard promises because I never know what can come up (which is the honest answer if anyone is being transparent) in either life or problems with the game/testing itself but I am getting pretty close now. I am being diligent and consistent in trying to finish everything so I am hopeful .
I will try and give a more loosely written update next week -- I wanted to kind of list this out for the record/transparency of where I am and what I am doing overall to try and release an update.
I have decided not to release the "Red Domination" ending and I'd also rather not say why I made that decision. We'll see what happens...
One thing I wanted to share is one of my biggest frustrations ever in KG. So when I first came up with the idea of the game itself, I had a very specific scene I imagined involving a specific dinner environment and a very detailed (tons of people, assets, etc.) set of events happening. In short, I really loved this idea more than any other scene I've thought of or done in this game (it has a sub and dom version). I've tried many times to figure out a way (as far back as I think Episode 4 or 5 even) to do it properly.
I even in the last year tried to consult with someone I consider easily one of the top five adult game developers in the world. Even he was at a loss at how I could pull it off given the Daz program (what we use to make scenes) and how much I wanted to try. So while I'm happy with the scenes I do, I am thinking of just writing this scene down the road as an "alternative" possible scene for fun but we'll see. Not a priority right now, just venting. I'm still thinking about it right now and lamenting not having it come to life. It's been something in my mind for oh... years now and yeah... anyway. Back to business.
---
The pictures above in previews are of course from the sub side and a lot (not quite all) of that is optional content as most know that certain kinks I tend to make optional by design as I consider them as a bit stronger. The first image is pure Scarlett (it's THIS big Kane!) and a personality I like writing (I like her for some reason).
The next sub part is not really optional except specific little parts. The dom scene after that will mostly be straightforward based on a few prior things. But generally these are the last two big set pieces to wrap up and from there, it gets a lot more towards wrap up and editing.
Now because Im bored, I shall try to guess who MOY is trying to stop from detonating the baby bomb.
Assuming its a member of the board, we can safely eliminated Veronica and Elana/ Olivia right off the bat since Callista revealed herself to them. Yvette's probably too busy with the revolution. I doubt it's dom or they would likely tell Cole to play along with her to avoid pissing her off. Juliette has a financial stake in making sure that Kane doesnt die so probably not her. Which leaves us Alessandra or the mysterious seventh member. The fact that I can't eliminate Alessandra despite Alessandra having met the queen makes me think it's her at the moment
Trying to catch up on the latest with this game when it comes to the dev's plans, as it seems like there have been even more changes since I last checked in. Is it really the case that there will now be no individual Dom Kane romance route with Juliette at all? I knew that the so-called Demon route had been cancelled and the most evil of the Juliette stuff, but thought there was still at least going to be a Dom path with Juliette. Did I read correctly that Juliette has been sidelined to a joint route with Dominique? If that's the case then that is massively disappointing. Can anyone clarify or link me to the dev post where this is explained?

I can't remember where I read it, but yes, not only has her route been sidelined for being too extreme, but I also think her current plans are for her to share a route with Dominique, I don't think a toned down solo route has been considered.
