Does that option actually work now? I used it a long time ago and it didn't work, I had to limit framerate through rivatuner to make the game work at normal speed.

Idk how it didn't work for you but there was an issue one time with it being unintentionally disabled:-
Aside from that, it has always worked fine, but it also caused performance issues. Not sure if that has ever been fixed:-

If you enjoy the game, the mods are just more game to enjoy. At the very least, I'd suggest you using CCMod.

Faster mental phase, favorite skills and mouse desire control mods to reduce amount of clicks during battle.
Hide hud mod to enjoy cg's better.
Infinite animated cut-ins if you want to see shortly animated parts of the game more.
They are not "too important to miss" but I don't play the game without them. You should be able to find all of them on discord.

Have lewd acts done to you while people are standing in front of your desk. Doesnt need to be full penetration but that and orgasm makes people more likely to notice.
Im not even 100% sure how the entire system works other then Females cant ask for lewd acts so dont bother calling them up if you can help it. I dont know if people need to be alerted and then fully leave for the negative rep or if they just need to see it. If theres a hard cap how much it can go up in a single day idk.

I just played with high corruption and tried to keep the whore level under control to get the "charm" items.
As a result, my entire playthrough converged towards dominance, controlling the floors and sometimes using the title to reduce rebellion for this purpose. And rarely did anyone get through the door, because if you don’t change the guards and use the imperial guards, the chance that you will be fucked is low.
