Sooo... What's the latest with the beta? Everyone just kinda stopped talking about it in favor of mods but like... Any news about where the game version is now since apparently it was being constantly updated, and what about the bugs/crashes? Is it stable now? Seriously how the fuck does a DLC like this have so many bugs that it needs a beta? It almost feels intentional so Rem can keep milking his subscribers...
>his only job is to add pre-made images to the game
>despite simplicity of the task and his previous experience on the matter he somehow managed to create so many bugs game needs to be updated hundreds of times to become stable again
There can only be two explanations for this:
1. He is indeed doing it on purpose to milk people more
2. He is so bad at developing a game he needs to be put in guinness world records book
Pick your poison.

Honestly brothers - i can't believe this will be the last DLC and support to the game. I mean there is so much potential like infirmary side job or shower peeping - you name it. When doing another run i'm always thingking about that.

There's a very real possibility of his next game flopping. Having none of the features he gathered his audience around will surely put strain on the trust of his subscribers. The best analogy I can come up with would be an artist making feet content suddenly starts making vanilla porn instead.

If his next game does indeed flop, there's again a possibility that he will come back to this game. I'm not coping what are you talking about?

As one of guys who looked through KP's code told, the code in KP is added in accordance with "if it works do not touch it" thought, without reuse, simplification, deletion of duplicates (that you should absolutely do to save your own time in the future when bugs will pop off), which adds various code smells.

Okay but going by your analogy, Karryn was already a completed puzzle before the DLC. All Rem had to do was take one piece out and replace it after the CG's were drawn. But didn't he manage to fuck that simple thing up by misnaming the files or something? I vaguely remember people having problems of missing image files which were misnamed or something but I may be remembering wrong. Anyhow, one would think the most bug ridden feature would have been the new challenge mode, but I haven't heard anything about that yet in regards to bugs and crashes.
I have no idea, I'm not going to get into how he does things. It's true that he is a disaster at his job, but answering your initial question, the build is stable right now.

The errors that may remain will be the smallest and most variable, so the more people who try it, more chances of finding bugs in his mess

I'm also hoping when the game reach it's final version - modders will step up and start making more global mods with more effort in graphics and CG, because current mods only messing with parameters and numbers within the scripts.

He is a disaster at his job - only because Karryn's Prison game was a piece he can't chew, Meltys Quest being waaaay simplier generic rpg - but people love this game anyway.

Crazy how everyone opinion on him changed day and night in a spans of 2 months, when you'd be called a yapper for saying stuff like this.
to be fair, he's not that terrible, just your average porn game dev, whose audience is what I'd say, very generous and tolerant.
Rem is in fact among the better devs out there to actually finish his game, and the gane is straight mediocre but was the first of its kind, of its time, but he delivered.

I'm only saying this cuz constantly in this thread guys digging inside the code and saying that it's total mess, memory leaks crashes or balance issuses. 170+ hours of the game and i don't meet any critical bugs other than memory overload in very long battles - but it's because i don't using cc mods and stuff like that.

As long as it's played on PC, the majority of those things generally only happen in extreme circumstances (or if a something was added incorrectly)

I bet many people raping their androids to play Karryn through joiplay - if budget pc with 16 gigs of ram and ryzen cpu struggles sometimes.

or 20 min of gameplay
I have to restart the game every 20 min or I'd dedicate my 16gb of ram to karryn prison

memory leak is the last thing to concern however

My first playthrough of the game was modded and zero issues.

But, then again, I do have 64 GB ram, so...
