Yeah, that's not a fun mechanic.
The thing about putting flavor text on random background objects is that once you do it a few times, you trigger the "have to check everything" gamer reflex, which leads to the above exhaustion. Because what if there is a title or item that you only get if you click on the exact right thing, and even worse if it's time sensitive.
For instance, I only knew about it because of this thread, but the pre-game advice cat gives a title after getting petted ten times. AFAIK that's the only type of title acquired like that, but I still have the needling thought in the back of my head: "should I click on everything multiple times?" And let's be real: I'm here to watch Karen get dicked in high quality CGs, not go on a scavenger hunt for text.
*edit: actually that last sentence is underselling the game. The combat is hella unique and the game overall is very addictive despite not being finished.
