So Noo said to use her portal to get to Maven and I go to her portal and it just takes me to the witch. Do I have to get to a certain point in the main story for that to work or is it a bug?
Might be a bug,it worked fine in the previous stable version. I'll try to replicate and get back to you.
I just got to a point in the story where I got asked to go speak to Noo and the dialogue is back so it might be that the bug was offering me "so the night of the ritual" early rather than the the portal not linking correctly when it should.

I recommend playing on the easiest difficulty setting.
If that doesn't do it then search how to unlock the replay room since that also allows you to set your level and money.

There's a key. I think it's on the second floor? I can't remember where it is tbh, but I do know there's a key, and it took me forever to find the bloody thing. No pun intended

Game is super grindy and not everyone wants to invest the same amount of time/effort.
My Friend, look around in one of the rooms upstairs.
There will be a room which will basically only have a lamp in it you need to go to that lamp and interact with it.
Once you have done that you should receive the key to open the last door/doors.

To Reply to myself. I just carried, skipping lessons. Then I wanted to see if the problem was constant. So i attended classes on a Thursday (Only a morning lesson) and was able to start her quest line.
