Overview:
Katawa Shoujo is a bishoujo-style visual novel set in the fictional Yamaku High School for disabled children, located somewhere in modern Japan. Hisao Nakai, a normal boy living a normal life, has his life turned upside down when a congenital heart defect forces him to move to a new school after a long hospitalization. Despite his difficulties, Hisao is able to find friends—and perhaps love, if he plays his cards right. There are five main paths corresponding to the 5 main female characters, each path following the storyline pertaining to that character.

Damn - while I have played this since first inception, and fell in love with the Renpy way of presenting a visual novel, didn't realize this wasn't represented. Swear to god - this is a touching and engaging story well worth the effot. F\Don't think of it as a porn story - it isn't. It IS a story, however...added some flow charts for those interested...

Added Summer's Clover! It may not be canon, but it is by one of the original KS writers. Although, I know when I played it, I felt like they made her too masculine. But, maybe that's just me.

Yeah, I happened to notice it wasn't on F95 this morning. Spent hours today getting all the files and info together to fix that injustice. It's not exactly the greatest VN ever, but it still deserves representation. It was fanatically popular 3-5 years ago.

Shizune in the pre-alpha release is by far the best girl. I will gladly admit she was the worst in the public final release, because 4LS thought her true route was too dramatic and depressing. You see that route in the pre-release alpha before it got nerfed, and Shizune seriously steals the spotlight and goes from worst girl to best girl.

Haha. KS is infamous for having one big never ending best girl thread on /b/ then /vg/. It's just paying homage to a time honoured tradition of waifu shitposting in KS threads.

I have got to agree - Shizuni got short-changed in the full version, which is too bad, as her story was probably the most involved and intricate (with her family and especially including Mischa). However, we all developed (god - I am sounding nostalgic) interests in the different routes, and I fell in love with Emi (fun), Lilly (romantic), Rin (artistic/crazy/goth) and Hanako (most damaged - be careful and soft - and possibly most rewarding)...

I first played this back when we only had the act 1 demo, and my rating of the girls was Shizune > Hanako > Lilly > Rin > Emi

When the full game came out, I blazed through every route in less than two days, and my final ranking of the girls is Emi > Rin > Lilly > Hanako >>> Shizune

Emi is one of my all time favorite girls from any game.

This VN is 10/10 and I highly recommend it, however if you're looking for something to fap to, this isnt it. Theres only one or two sex scenes per route and they're usually pretty far in, and not super sexy or anything.

Honestly, I've never completed it at all. Mostly because Shizune e Rin... I don't know why (and even now I still don't know), but I never liked them completely. A sensation, more or less. Instead I've done Hanako, Lilly and Emi. And boy, that scene with Lilly in that field of sunflowers, right behind the house were they went to spend the holiday.
Best. Scene. Ever. It gave me so many chills.

BITCH PLEASE XD Hanako is okay, but story isn't as good as the others. also in no way is emi a slut (although has one of the funniest sex scenes) best routes depth wise are Emi and Shizune, then you have Lilly and Hanako, can't rate Rin cause never liked them and didn't play their route so i can't give it an honest unbiased rating. like my fav route is Emi's but Shizune route is deeper and addresses more interesting issues. also if any of them are Autistic its Shizune, latches on to one friend, wants things done the right logical way, has trouble being able to properly socialise, that screams autism, I would know
