Kemono Update Timeframes

Quick question, i always wondered, if kemono has a specific timeframe when they update the website with recent stuff?

Had a few artists in my favorites and it hasn’t been updated in almost 2 weeks, so just curious what’s going on.

Most of the admin team are on vacation and the main admin who controls the site basically shut down all the importers except for Discord and is trying to fix some issue or another.

I don't see it being fixed for all of September. Maybe October but who knows. The site has been breaking more and more, faster and faster. Most people on the KemonoChan are basically agreeing that this might be too much for Kemono admins to keep up with. We'll have to see

They should ban all the shitty AI "art" that is being posted. when the inporter is working its just hundreds of AI posts. I bet that's one of the main reasons the servers are on fire.

No, I think it's worse than that. A few months ago the same thing happened and it was due to possibly Patreon catching on to how Kemono works and blocking it internally. Kemono found a way around it but it's happened again.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the mods are trying to crack Patreon again but failing to do so and them being on "vacation" doesn't help. The only Patreon being updated are all AI stuff and some of them are brand new pages so I'm not sure how things are looking except that Kemono are basically the only ones cracking Paid Posts so if they have no way of doing it, there isn't any competitors for everyone to back up users not willing to pay at all.

I mean afaik it’s not only patreon, it’s pixiv/fanbox etc as well so i’m still hoping it’s just some internal fuckery that gets resolved soon, it happened quite a few times before, so fingers crossed.

honestly im not gonna hold my breath. the way kemono is headed right now i won't be surprised if/when the site dies the exact same death as yiffparty, i.e. admin decides to stop paying for the domain/servers and runs away with the money. even if the patreon importer (aka the only importer most people care about) does get fixed in the near future, it'll only be a matter of time before it breaks again, especially if patreon really is cracking down on kemono like HaseoOfDeath says.

The importer apparently wasn’t broken, they ran out of space and needed new drives.
Not sure if that’s true but that’s what the admin said
