v0.2
TL;DR - Great visuals, good premise, decent writing, perfect pacing, little to no bugs.... but, gameplay is extremely slowed down by RPGM engine.
Hard to recommend, but i think some people might be fine with it.
Its a 5 star game knocked down to 3 over the sluggish feel it has.
So, ya i think the big issue is the gameplay & RPGM.
It dose play off that kind of classic puzzle/interactive navigating gameplay but in reality it is just a linear VN with busy work / fetching mechanics.
-It probably would be fine if it wasn't RPGM, as the engine slows down everything.
-The quest transitions after every single action, each time taking up 3-5 seconds (which you do need quest guide btw, its just the long transition that comes with it).
-the text bubbles moving so slow you can read them 3 times before they finish (even when holding the mouse down)
-and just everything else needing to load, even launching it requires you sit idles for 20 seconds while it loads all the assets
I understand why RPGM was chosen as its clearly the devs speciality since i didn't come across any bugs and has done some nice tricks with it, but my god is it the wrong choice.
Everything else about it, Art, story, premise, writing and pacing are all well done.
Maybe there is a bit too much Yapping in it too, but that's amplified by how slow the text moves.
