It feels The Echo Project as a whole is in limbo, all their games are on hiatus or not moving at all.
(Not to mention the TSM fiasco)

I had a crush with Adastra game. It was sooo good but I hate when I was, as MC, amost a damsel in distress. Good thing is you can make him be your good puppy.
About writting, some times the explanation is several games are written by females that are amost more interested in preliminaries than into sexual encounters (and why a male only taking off a shirt makes males next to him start calling him "hentay").
At the start only japanese games have characters drawn with the minimum quality and many of them, the translated gay ones, were furry I guess in a good percentage, as "The Lake", and people get used to furry world. (we can talk about Disney animals main characters too. Like: "oooh, the Beast is so manly"...fuck my life.
