I don't know what the etiquette is on this but here's a self-promotion thread for my Kickstarter.
This game is a passion project I've been working on full time (well, nearly) for six months. It brings together my loves for porn and noir and storytelling. To get it finished from here will take maybe three months and I basically just need the money to commission the rest of the artwork. I need the support and faith of the community.
It is my first project under this name but I am a professional developer and have written stories and scripts for several steam games (and plenty more that didn't make it that far).
I know full well that this game isn't for everyone - what is?! - but if you like story-driven porn games, if you're looking for something different, if you like Sin City and Max Payne and Spiderman Noir, then this may very well be for you. It is, I think genuinely funny, mysterious and intriguing, written with wit and humour that doesn't need to break the fourth wall to be funny.
I have chosen kickstarter instead of patreon because I want to produce a tightly-scoped, finished game. I know roughly how much money I need and the KS should get me over the line. I've planned ahead, I'm working full-time, and I know my limitations. I basically want to use Kickstarter as a pre-order platform and deliver on that quickly, instead of running an infinite patreon to sustain development. I am privileged that I am in a position to do that, financially, by self-funding the game so far. I think this is the fairest way to create the game.
