I backed up when it said You Died and easily passed it manually lol.

No but it is a possibility while going through the maze, but still does not lead to game over. you get transported back to the beginning. I added it to the skip just for fun but you still skip to the end if you click through.

Appears to be. Then again, there are a few games that only have yearly updates, so who knows for sure.
