VN Ren'Py King of Supremes (Development Thread)

Hello everyone!

For the past couple weeks I've been slowly creating and playing around with this game idea I had. It will be a fantasy based visual novel with free roam elements that'll let you choose who you want to dig deeper into the stories of the characters. I'll be using the koikatsu engine.

In a world where supremes, bearer of superpowers that dominate 95% of the world, they're controlled by the gods who gave them these powers that demand harmony. If the majority of people in a given city or town were to abuse them, then the gods would "cleanse" that city and start fresh, hoping that the next wave of people doesn't fail them. You the player were born with no powers, you see the corruption that has been going on for years; gods taking bribes, looking the other way and living in luxury so the powerful can continue doing whatever they want.

Suddenly your town is picked to be cleansed by the gods but you manage to strike a deal with them, you take over as king and are given a year to turn things around due to a technicality you discovered. It is up to you to turn your town around and defend it and uncover the corruption while fending off powerful foes and gaining powerful allies and lovers.

This is an early summary of my game, nothing is finalized yet as I'm always fine tuning things. All the main characters are created already and I'm currently on the script (as of now almost a quarter of the prologue has been written)

I'll be updating this thread whenever I have news to share, for now here are some sneak peaks of the some of the characters/love interests

It seems like you have put enough effort into the character designs what is far more than most people can say about their KK projects.

I particularly liked the blue-skinned one, my only issue is how you left the tie between her breasts, which I assume was intentional to emphasize her bust. However, neither ties nor breasts work like that.

Regardless, I'd say you have enough to get a good start with this project.

The script for the 0.1 version is complete all is left is finishing code and doing the renders

The game wasn't coming along the way I wanted it to, I didn't like the free roam aspects and didn't think the story worked as just a regular visual novel so I decided to just scrap everything and start over. The one I'm working on now is set in modern times and there's no free roam and is strictly visual novel with choices in a chapter format. the story is less complex to where I can focus on the characters more. I'm using some of the characters here but the game is not ready to be shown yet but im hoping I can have the dev page uploaded late September. Sorry for the bad news but I feel like the story I came up with can be a real winner for me! fingers crossed.
