Beta 0.8 Release Window | Progress Report
Happy Friday everyone!
Today, I just wanted to share an update on the general progress of the Kingdom of Passion - Beta 0.8 update as well as the general release window that I'm aiming for!
== Release Window ==
Right now, I'm looking to release the Beta 0.8 update in October. Ideally, the first half of the month in order to have everything fit nicely within schedule.
The art still needs a little more time to finish and I need more time as well to finish developing everything. A release in October should be a perfect amount of time to make sure everything can be completed!
As we get closer to that time, I'll share a more precise date so stay tuned for that update!
== Art Progress & Balance ==
I just want to remind everyone that Kingdom of Passion currently has two artists working on it in order to keep new art & content flowing at a steady pace. You may have noticed a different style with some of the scenes recently.
The Beta 0.8 update will also feature scenes only including art from the newer artist.
The original artist for KoP is still working on new art but their availability remains tighter so the ratio of scenes & art may not match up quite at a 50:50 rate. But art from the original artist will be appearing in future updates, including Beta 0.9.
Just want to clarify that! Though I imagine those who comment on the subject probably aren't reading these posts anyway, hah!

yeah i gonna drop this now not worth it when the artstyle that is probably of the other artist is a big downgrade though i did put the effort reading your whole post i just still dont like it
Just started this game. I was kinda hoping it would recognize 'mother' as the name instead of mom, for a bit more of that royal immersion, but oh well. Also pretty laughable that they're still using the 'maid' alias when she literally has a crown on her head and she's sitting on the throne. But anyway, hope this game is as good as it looks. Feels a bit silly that there are no male characters in a whole royal palace. Kinda undercuts some of the excitement and intrigue when you're the only guy in a world full of women. Nothing feels as meaningful or believable when there's just no guys and only women. Like, what are you supposed to expect.

Rename the queen to mom and it turns incest on and doesn't use the "maid" thing. Lowercase mom too.

Release Update | Aiming for Thursday!
Hey everyone!
Sorry for such a long gap there in news updates, this month has really flown by.
Progress on Lydia's update in Kingdom of Passion has been going pretty well. A few snags and hurdles early on figuring out how I wanted these events to progress but now the update is in the finishing stages!
If everything continues to wrap up smoothly, I am planning to have this update released for $5+ KoP Patrons on Thursday, October 30th! So just a few more days of waiting.
The public/free release will be 3 days later from the $5+ release date.

My apologies once again for such a lengthy wait on this update. Lydia is pretty picky so my previous ideas for her side story weren't quite living up to her standards.

The dev definitely needs to get back the previous artist or someone close to their style of work. The current art for the new scenes are awful compared to the old ones. Plus their is a bug when you complete Lydia's quest and get the sex scene the image of the MC and Lydia having sex remains on the screen long after the scene is done plus Lydia is still following the MC.

The original artist hasn't left. There was too much of a load for the original artist to do everything which is why the 2nd artist was brought in. Also the bugs are known and should be fixed in a patch that gets released sometime today.
aight not gonna download then i dislike the new art style

The old artist isn't gone. This game has 2 lead artists, since the workload was too much for the original artist.
