I haven't tried this one out, so I have no idea what that means.
It essentially means in order for something to be categorized as NTR, it must occur in the present. It must occur in the time in which the LI is aware of the MC and his existence and/or his interest in her.

Actions in the past cannot be considered NTR, because (unless the chick is a time traveler/mind reader) she cannot engage in these actions knowing it would cause jealousy, as she's unaware of the MC's existence at the time said sex occurred.

That said, an NTR-themed game where the LI travels back in time specifically to cuck her BF before she ever met him would be a wild idea.

if you need to get a Whiteboard out to explain why some stuff isn't NTR its pretty much guarantied that people that don't like NTR wouldn't like that stuff either.

This is actually pretty good in terms of writing and narrative thus far compared to a lot of new releases. A bit of issue regarding text being attributed to the wrong person (i.e MC speaking and it says that it's Ryan instead for example) but generally a very solid start.
I do also like the fact that despite it being a bit of a mystery game, it actually has some ties in reality whereas most games utilizing these concepts tend to just go fucking nuts with it (i.e MC got experimented on as a kid and now he's targeted by super-Bratva and Amazon at the same time type shit) though I have to wonder if there's a way to keep a suspension of disbelief given the nature of the situation.

Also I really don't fucking think that the flashback scenes of MC and his sister when they were like 7 years old needed an upskirt, that's just weird as shit man.

I'm not sure about the intent of having scenes with LI's and their previous partners. I personally don't give a shit, but I do know that 95% of F95 will absolutely blow a fuse and a half, I am just curious about the narrative value of doing so. As a brief glimpse revealed, people have already pointed out how you can just assert that an LI isn't a virgin by fairly easy recaps without going into specific details.
Specific details about LI's previous relationships can be a much better narrative and character intrapersonal definer than their sexual experiences, so I'm just not sure where that decision is leading or why it was made to begin with.

It shouldn't need explaining.

Anything that happened before meeting someone is impossible to be NTR.
But since your brain tries to find a context for it, you look for narrative reasons for it to be there. Like this is a cheating whore that I will meet later. It is not ntr, but it can be planting the seed, well if the writer has that kind of ability I guess.

Still a memory/nightmare can be NTR, maybe not for the player for lack of context from the writer, but if the MC recalls an event where an alive person is cheating on him/her whatever, that from a narrative standpoint is NTR. Personally if I dont care about that recalled person, it is not NTR, cause I dont know her, but the MC does. And this is where the problem lies and it is not about ntr yes or ntr no, for me it is more a debate about Devs/wirters that want that juicy "ntr" tag to cash some extra bucks, or to get some traction, but they only do the most basic effortless piss poor work, and as a result, people isntead of acquiring a taste, will constantly rage about the tiniest hint. (Mainly because every step of that short way is 100% tropy and predictable)
If the writers dont take the effort of creating a journey and setting strong arguments for you to not to step down, it will always be a "partisan" debate.

Just my 2 cents

This is true, but is it important to see this?
Not all women are virgins I know
Almost everyone had someone before you
A sentence that she was dating someone is enough For me
For mi I see wasted scenes and Others prefer to see NTR
and I have nothing to do with others
and I choose whether to play it or not
Don't convince me these NTR or not
your game Do what you want and thanks for deve note
And dont tell mi It is important to the story and the background of the characters
and Why the fuck do I want to see other people's memories fuck
Good luck dev in your project

Uh..... how is the start promising? The renders are good enough, there is a lot of customization in the menus which shows the dev clearly cares more than just putting it out but the story? I could not even make it past the police station :HideThePain:, like the police are pretty obviously only going to be be exactly as competent as the story needs and if thats "the inciting incident" then I have little faith anything that comes after would be more logical (even from in universe)

Its not the worst thing ive read but seeing tons of people praise how good the story is led to pretty big disappointment, maybe right after I stopped its somehow cleared up why no cameras saw the sister either buying/going somewhere to buy/someone planting drugs, or how the police cant tell a fingerprint from one that is rubbed from another surface (latent/surface prints)/why or how there was no other prints on the bag (from the dealer?), if the police even know what fingerprints are, how a random former druggie is supposed to "help the officer at the front desk" or how a city is functioning at all when drugs use literally doubled in a single year?

IMO this isnt a "fap" game nor is it "one you read for the story" its somewhere inbetween where you want to "see stuff going on" but not be able to think about it while still being able to say you dont just play for the porn. Id argue that the story being the weakest part is objectvie though and its nowehre near as good as lots of people made it seem

I mean, not sure how much you actually read of the story but

so how would you expect an already incompetent police force to start investigating shit they're likely also involved with? There's historically been PLENTY of cases like this where shit gets swept under the rug because someone high up is involved.
I mean hell, there's an infamous murder case of two young boys in the US where the police was explicitely involved in drug trafficking and they got caught in the middle. These things happen more than you'd probably like to admit, so it isn't that much of a stretch as a narrative.

Also, in terms of how the city even functions if drug issues doubled; Miami 1980 - 1987.

This narrative really isn't as illogical or farfetched as you're making it out to be.

.... the issue that I clearly pointed out is that drug use doubled in a single year (not 7) and this game clearly does not take place in the 80s it takes place in a time where people have touch screen smart phones that are clearly made to be post 2000s, but thank you for further proving my point about who this game is perfect for.

As to how far I got like I said I could not make it out of the police station, the specific line I dropped at was about how MC was going to "help the police" so his sister could be processed faster? :KEK: Since you didn't correct me I assume this is a fair bit important to the story

Obviously the mayor/the chief of police/any other (likely male or ugly female) character or anybody that stand agaisnt MC for an extended period is corrupt I don't need any hints to know that, once again that's "fine" in a "fap" game but not when it's people keep trying to show it's a serious believeable (in universe) story.

Hell I didn't even mention the other emergency services such as hospitals, they are already dealing with a fair amount of OD/drug realted stuff and that amount literally doubled in the time it takes for a single pregnancy to come to term (+ a few months).

Edit: oh it's also weird that the LI wh WORKS IN A HOSPITAL said nothing about drug use doubling (hospital should be just as busy as police station), or that the cop LI says college kids still are known to experiment with drugs despite the fact that a first timer with no priors is getting the book thrown at her; why aren't other college kids being punished en masse? (It's not just so MC can save her "I swear") But surely that's good writing too right? :HideThePain:

Drug use did more than double during the early years, it got brought down to earth towards 1987.
Also, at what point does smart phones have anything to do with drug trafficking and use?

As I said, the police isn't exactly keen on investigating something they're likely involved themselves. MC has one contact that he can (thus far) trust and she's someone within the force itself. Even though he's "helping", he's clearly going behind the back of the officer he was initially in contact with and is now investigating with the one person in the force that he can trust.
None of this requires a leap of logic, it's actually pretty straight forward and again, there have been multiple instances of things like this in real life.

Huh?

Do you just not realize that corruption and drugs are prevalent both in high end politics and law enforcement? Which again, the game explicitely delves into given the chief and mayor. Again, none of these things are anything unbelievable.

I live in a place that saw a doubling of yearly homicides due to gang related activities.
That number was from 3 to 6 fatalities. Just because something "doubles" doesn't mean that it's going from an already egregious amount to even higher. We have no indication of what the statistics regarding drug use prior to the increase, and we also have no indication of statistics after the increase.

LI working in a hospital? You mean the school friend who's working part-time and only filling out documents? Because that's what the game tells you. She isn't exactly doing field work and she likely won't deal much with patient files if she's not actively working as a nurse, she's likely doing internal memos, medical documents and miscellaneous documents.
Also, why would she start talking about drug cases when she and the MC just met after not seeing eachother for a few years, moreover when she's mid-work and busy? That would be extremely weird.

im not going to engage with you further after this but this is perfectly what I mean why I said who this game is "for".

I dont know how you read what I said (literally said the mayor and police chief are corrupt) and somehow took away that I think they arent? the head of police, the mayor, and any other character who "stands in MCs way" (beyond a scene or two like the cop LI) is going to be corrupt.

You are willing to link sources (even if wiki) but you fundamentally did not read (or care to think about) what I posted in fact you took the the exact opposite and ran with it.

The edit tag is even before your message there is no way you did not read " Obviously the mayor/the chief of police/any other (likely male or ugly female) character or anybody that stand agaisnt MC for an extended period is corrupt"

You, straight up, inferred that it shouldn't be a thing if the game is trying to be a "believable story", to which I pointed out that none of this is some sort of Godfather-esque unbelievable tall tale.

If you want to properly convey your point, reread what you type a few times and reword.
