4132 1stI am having trouble with the cage of chimes second part. I've tried every combo but its not working...
Have you chosen Cane or Cannon as a Major Class yet? It'll remove the Skills of the other so you can focus more. How do I remove skills? I am at where I can choose a class but when I try to select any it says skills are full
I'll split it up.i've been more than a bit confused on some things with lith harbor here. teo's stupid riddle cannot for the life of me wtf he wants me to find in lith harbor thats hidden. and when speaking to the athena "Am i Ready" thing for a new class it keeps saying i need to speak to one more person in lith harbor and cannot for the life of me find said person. No idea how to start Mina's bottle quest or something i read somewhere which is required in order to continue another quest apparently. also mana elixir from tru but he isnt offering any kind of option to get it from him. there is just a lot of stuff that doesnt seem very direct and there's no real idea of what to look for i guess. i've tried googling for guides or walkthroughs and also tried looking up for any convo's about specific quest's and there is literally nothing. any tips or ideas please help here. kind of stuck.
Part of the Story.how do you get to the domain
Always like criticism when it isn't "this game is bad, kill yourself" which I've actually gotten lmao.Alright, dumped quite a few hours in the game so far and have the following thoughts. These will come mostly as criticism but the fact i've played long enough to have these thoughts should clue you in on me enjoying this game mostly.
1) The quests are too convoluted, 80% because the quest chains all take multiple long breaks and you have to wait to complete other quests to continue it. 20% is the sheer quantity of quests. Seriously, it would be completely fine if you could actually just finish off a quest, but the fact you have to pause most of the quests to complete the pre requisite quests is insanely confusing. You forget what the original quest is even about and the sheer quantity to stories continuing simultaneously because you aren't allowed to complete any of them is overwhelming and makes the game convoluted.
2) The "game" portion of this game feels like lost opportunity. This is a good porn game but it could be a good game in general aswell. Right now you're an idiot if you don't spec into cane/cannon and magician. I see all of the shiny equipment on the library and there's no reason to try to get any of them. I keep bonking with my cane as a fuckin thief (didn't know cane/cannon were the only viable options in progression back then). Also idk why you can't respec? or least don't give us absolutely useless class options at all. Can only imagine how much of an unfun time someone who doesn't want to use canes or cannons will have.
3) As a corruption fan, almost all of the corruption being hocus pocus here's some dark magic and now you're my slave is just disappointing lol. Also don't care for how the Hero just becomes insanely evil. I liked both of the sugar baby and Rain corruption quests because there's no dark magic and the MC isn't an evil petty asshole rapist in them lol.
1) Yeah I get why it was done the way it was. The quests wouldn't make sense if you ddon't complete the pre requisites, but understanding the reason doesn't really make it any less overwhelming. But looks like its on your radar. Hope you can address it however you think you can. IMO i'd just end certain character quests quicker. No reason why so many characters need to continue to get side quests throughout the story. Continue with the newly introduced characters in the new island instead of constantly bringing back older characters for new quests. Start and end the character quest in one or two go. Would address the bloat and the convoluted nature of the questsAlways like criticism when it isn't "this game is bad, kill yourself" which I've actually gotten lmao.
1. The game is a bit of slice of life so it's almost unfolding day to day, month to month, season to season. While I do agree I wish I could have the time unfold differently, the story is usually what holds it down. By the time we get to the sequel Seasons, I really do plan on organizing content differently. More of a shotgun burst of content per character and then 1 story event instead of the current spray of content, another spray of story, etc, etc.
2. You can actually respec in Sid's Shop. If you have the Recruting System activated, he even gives you a free Respec Item just in case. While I do think this was a lesson learned, later Seasons will actually also address this. More freedom in your Classes and equipment while also allowing you to freely change Jobs and such. but since the game was a WIP for so long, we had to hold back a lot especially in the forms of Guilds because Perion wasn't added until like 2 years ago and that's when we made a lot of choices in how the game functions.
3. This is addressed as Corruption goes on. Jane for example is this but the moment she leans into her honesty, the Dark Hero begins to back off in his approach. I think it's a neat style of writing and it's almost often frontloaded or backloaded. But girls that latch into it, you can tell the Hero adores them. Orihime especially but every girl is written differently. Just wait until you unlock Sophia and Ayan Corruption lol
But yeah, the overall theme of WHY The Dark Hero exists is explained as the story goes on. It's not that he's instantly evil, it's that the mirror that reflected him has always been there but just now was able to shine both lights off and on. Hopefully you lean into the game more to see why I chose to do that and the grand reveal as to why The Dark Hero does what he does.
But yeah, 1 and 2 are things we want to fix instantly once we begin later Chapters/Seasons. 3 makes send in the grand scheme but in future seasons, I'll maybe lean more into a Dark Hero that has his prize but can now simply enjoy it instead of being a petty evil asshole
1. It's a massive game so I basically have to guide every character differently for different days off the Hero might have. It's basically a design choice to make a living world with schedules and free time. It is overwhelming to see, more so to write lmao. But the goal kind of fits. That sheer moment where your favorite character gets new content, you go see and get something very substational after waiting for so long. I make it worth while especially sex scenes since they can often last 30+ pages.1) Yeah I get why it was done the way it was. 2) Yeah worded it wrong, I meant the Job has no rerolls. Not much else to add, looks like you guys are working on it
3) It looks like I need to play more to get the context, but I swear I've heard the "be honest, you wanna be mine" followed by the dark magic thing happen about five times now to five different girls. It just feels like a crutch. But hoping there's less of that in the future then. Also didn't know there was Orihime in this game lol. Any chance of bringing Yoruichi tho?![]()
Also, now that I have you. How's the balancing at the moment? Any parts that you find too hard, unfair, etc? Still working on addressing all of it but it's been a minute since I asked anyone1) Yeah
1) Well if it works, it works. Just giving you my perspective. It feels like I've already earned some of these scenes, and the stories getting cut short and having to go through so many other quests just get the next part of the quest doesn't feel rewarding. The most rewarding this game felt was when the true corruption/lover routes for everyone got unlocked. But it felt bad when you find "okay its like 1/5th of their routes actually". Im sure if someone is already caught up with the current update, they'd be happy to get new content for their favorite character, but that's because he doesn't have a tidal wave of quests currently in progress.1. 2. Gotcha. Yeah, this is on our radar for Season 2
3. I think you might be around Henesys or Ellinia but I do start having it lean more into the "be honest" part and have the girl lament not doing more when the Hero does come back. Certain girls will even start calling him, following him etc. It gets better as the game goes on because after Henesys, we basically didn't have money for sex scenes. After that, we did so I could fit more around the girls and have it feel more natural.
And yeah, Orihime and Nelliel are in the game. You meet them by going to Rien which you unlock by talking with the penguin in Lith Harbor. For for Yoroichi, we're not adding more crossover characters otherwise the game will never finish lol
