May 2025 corresponds to v5.4.75 .
F95 have v5.4.78 . Which came out sometime in Summer 2025 and is supposed to contain everything except updated skill system and decompositioned sprites (which were teased sometime in Autumn).
Please be more specific.
are there any updates on this? not as in game updates, but is Ada okay & is the community active? I saw the old Patreon update about pausing work on the game, but I'm not in the Discord or anything so I wondered if there's more information there

Getting tied is usually something to be avoided. The point is to be a challenge.
You can remove restraints in various ways as indicated by buttons next to the restraint in question. If you are too heavily tied to remove your restraints normally, first try removing other restraints. You may have consumables that will help if you can't remove any. You can also request help from friendly NPCs or ghosts. You can also pay gold to the appropriate goddess shrine and she'll remove all restraints of her type (metal goddess removes metal restraints, rope goddess removes rope restraints).
Progressing in the dungeon doesn't care about your restraints. Just complete the appropriate task and walk up the exit stairs. The task is in the top right near the map. Text is green if completed and red if not.

You can sell them for money yes at the cost of reputation, but also use them as labour in the summit once you unlock it by accessing it at least once. If you want to release them without any reputation loss you just let them escape their binding so they have an "?" mark and make sure you have the tickbox saying release or forget about potential escepies filled, if you don't then you'll next enter the summit and they'll all be there ready to fight.
The best way to get spell points is to grab the blue orbs, there's usually 2 in each level, they come at the cost of -10% reputation with an goddess though so it is a trade off. It can be managed via taking goddess's missions and making offering to them. There's more detailed information about this and the summit stuff in the tips and tricks dump post linked in my signature.

Well, you can release them, but you will get a little bit of gold only if they were in faction and you will loose a little bit of this faction rep. But this is not the most profitable source of gold, it is more profitable on later levels after Fuuka to go down the conveyor and just farm keycards and cyber restraints from mobs there and loot power crystals, when the crystals run out, just go down the conveyor belt at the same level and you'll end up at exactly the same level, where the crystals are untouched, and you can do this endlessly. You can sell anything to the Shopkeeper, including restraints, but the selling price drops with each sale, so it's best to sell only restraints there. Keycards and crystals are often can be sold to Nevermere, so it's better to gain and keep good rep with them.
It's simple here. Loot every chest that requires magic keys, orbs (but these ones costs reputation with the goddesses) and complete all the shrine quests on the level, since they give spell points or enchanted gear (which is expensive) as a reward.

thank you Rat-attack and Pablo7531 for answering my question. i realized i just miss the elevator part that can bring me to the summit while i already go down on the 3rd floor. also i just not yet comfortable with the ui and because of that i miss things or two like releasing and selling the prisoner.
