This game is one of what I call the "sissy transitioning simulator" Twine games.
The core of this genre is femdom, chastity, gradual feminization of the initially male protagonist's mind and body until they're at the very least a full "sissy" (still has a cock, but passes for a girl when crossdressing), and eventual submissive relationships with the game's heroines if you do their paths. In addition, there are lot of shared tropes like being forced to do housework in a maid outfit, being lewdly brainwashed by your therapist, taking on a lewd part time jobs, school bullies, stealing your female housemate's underwear, buying sex toys at the mall, a disciplinarian teacher, etc. etc. that are in a large % of games in this genre.
In KLG, you start off as a boy in high school, living with your not-mother after moving to a new town. You wake up every day, masturbate, go to school, fool around with your 3 sexy female classmates, or please/annoy your teacher to spend time with her instead. After school, you can spend more time with your female classmates, or with your mother, or earn money (the only real job early on is "helping her around the house") to buy a few random items.
The town is also connected to some kind of conspiracy that I won't talk about in case you care about spoilers, but basically it's both magical and technological. There's a main story arc you can follow, but I only bothered with a little bit of it.
I'll talk about what KLG does differently.
- Locks a lot of content behind the Patreon version.
- There's no wardrobe management system. Which works out okay, because you still have a detailed avatars which automatically reflects the outfit you've switched into as part of the scene's plot, so it still feels immersive (but if you want the ultimate sandbox experience, play a different title in this genre).
- The player avatar is 3D and subtly animated. This is neat, and there's only 1 other game in this genre that has animated avatars (and they're in a Patreon-only version you can't find on f95zone).
- Unfortunately, characters besides the player don't have avatars, just photos, which vary in quality.
- There are a voice actress's sound clips which read aloud the first female line of several sexy scenes. It's a nice touch.
- From a technical standpoint, it's excellent. Not too many bugs (except for when I was equipped a chastity belt twice). Beautiful presentation, relatively easy to click through a day. There's even an interesting stealth/sneak mini-game. And probably more I can't remember offhand.
All in all, it's a pretty good game. I'm surprised I didn't hear about it earlier. The only problem I had with it is that the protagonist's characterization is weak and I couldn't self-insert well. I'd almost rather there be zero characterization at all, than a half-baked "reluctant but not reluctant" attitude of a simplistic tsundere submissive male. But I understand this is hard to write for a game with a lot of different paths.
