Most threads comparing the two come from when Sunshine was in very early development. After Sunshine has had a few years to develop and add content, which is arguably the better Koikatsu game?

Hi,
assuming you are going for the premodded repacks, there is basically only one difference between the two (besides the story),
in Sunshine you can create and apply custom overlays to the models.
This should make Sunshine the nobrainer choice for having better caracters, what the game is all about...
The problem is that the the 2 games are not compatible, mods wise, and the "converted mods" may not function properly.
At the moment the mods for the new game are at early stages and may not allow you to use the resources you find, cards etc..., in a proper way since 90% of the content is still created with the old game.
It will eventually be replaced for good, but I don't see that happening in less than 1 year.
Plus there might be a problem with the mods update utility, that screws everything up anytime you do it, but that could be just my issue.
So, if you have to start... I would still go for the old one, when the new reaches a good stage of development you'll be still able to port everything you made

so if i prefer the already modded (like betterrepack), i should go with koikatsu? i tried hs2 from betterrepack, but the animation sex is not good, (femboy) the d1ck is passing the stomach wtf, and i found that some creator that make animation is using koikatsu, but idk which koikatsu though, is it the old one or sunshine or party, since u said the old one is good with modded i assume they (creator) use the old one.

thanks btw for the explanation, and sorry for the bad english

It's quite a few months I don't play it (or create for it), but last time I checked 99% of the cards and useful mods (motion paks, poses, shaders and so on) were still made for the old one.. the studio (the real fun) should be virtually the same in both games, but it's not, so I'd go for the original. Just make sure to install it on an ssd, makes a ton of difference when you load stuff.
As for HS2.. it's a total crap. you want something fun and easy in 3d? look for True Facials
