RPGM - Completed - Labyrinth of Servitude and Liberation [v1.2] [hachon]

The game starts well. The personalities, dynamics, the ability to find clues, the rewards for exploring, the small talk while walking around the city with our girl. But then... nothing. After Labyrinth starts there's just nothing going on. No fun events aaaaalll the way until final boss fight, which is cool, but still.

To get NTRd you have to be beyond dumb. Or rather, i would take it back, you don't "have to be", because there's no way a human can be this dumb, no one will ever accidentally get cucked here. And on top of that, even if by some miracle you failed once and started NTR route, you will need to fail again and again in the same fashion to get more events. It's not possible to not do that on purpose.

Town is dead, vast and boring. Nothing changes not even after events, but between night/evening/day as well. All NPCs just walk there, always, no matter what time it is. Labyrinth is dead too, there are no events, unless you're in NTR route, then there are some later.

Combat is also ass. The hell did dev make the combat dependent on elements for, if in the end he had to copypaste colorswapped enemies, and have monsters like wind goblin, earth goblin, water goblin? A freaking fire jellyfish..? Also the "simple battle mode" is misleading. While it indeed makes the enemies die on touch, it make playing game HARDER, because you will automatically get miasma after defeating them, while manually fighting for one sec will give you a miasma-free victory. It should've been on by default, or just the only mode in the game, because this way you can actually miscalculate and get NTRd on accident.

Bosses are pathetic pushovers. Even all final bosses in a row are too weak... Yet dev has the audacity to make it look like we struggle or even losing in cutscenes after winning in battle.

Well-deserved 2 stars. Characters are good, but the game isn't even a good way to sink time into. I dropped the game on the second playthrough, because it's too demeaning for me to pretend like this NTR has any right to be happening, there's not a single chance i could've gotten into that route accidentally, and accidentally continued to delve deeper.

...speaking of which, there's an early route-lock. If you fail to get cucked before defeating the second boss(i think?), you cannot step out of love route. Any attempt to get miasma'd will just kill you after that. So yeah. Yeah.

Was much better then I expected. The trial wasn't that good so my hopes where non existent. But it was surprisingly decent overall.

Biggest issue with it was the actual game mechanics. Its really tedious, and sadly has NTR that needs you to fail n purpose. But the scenes were good, and they did a fantastic job of setting up a real piece of shit antagonist. In fact, if you want an antagonist that you hate, this did well in setting that part up, lol.

I probably liked this because it caught me off guard on two character getting scenes I did not expect. The game did well to show they hated the antagonist, so when I turned the corner to them getting railed, it hit perfect. Again, a let down that they only get 1 scene each, and not any after scene text when you interact with the. Would have been nice to have text before where they shit talk, and after were they re like, "hes not so bad". Small stuff like that goes a long way for setting the mood.

Walking around looking for the overworld scenes was a bit time consuming, it gives a screenshot of were scenes can happen, but not were the current one is going on, so it can be tedious. And the dungeon crawling was bad and tedious aswell, so you might just cheat that part tbh. Seems to be a staple that NTR games have tedious time consuming aspects that make you lose you boner, lol.

It used blackmail and an aphrodisiac effect for the corruption which is pretty lame. But since I had nothing to play and had no expectations this was decent enough. Will definitely check out other games from this dev atleast.

i'd give this game a 3.5 stars. it is indeed better than the average game, but it also come with some notable flaws.

for starters, this game really does try to do storytelling. the effort is genuine and it is reflected in the game cut scenes and story progression. the art drawing is unique and goes quite well with the genre. so there is definitely a fair bit of artistic creativity shown here.

the game does have some notable downside, which, if fixed, could really push this to a 4 or 4.5 stars.

    1. this game could really give more hints or at least have a vendor or consumable that will give you hints. making it easier to find the scenes.

    2. game itemization and upgrade system is very weird. i wish the dungeon can drop ingredient materials, which allows you to craft gears instead. and i hope there are better ways to get SP, at least for the heroine.

    3. the game could really use a new game+ or some kind of unlock if you beat the game.

    4. it would be nice if the corruption system has some kind of tangible impact on combat.

So one of the ratings mentioned this game can be considered the male perspective version of Kubel.

    I beg to differ.

Kubel brings me joy. This game brings me boredom, THEN after the boredom, my boner is effectively killed to even remotely enjoy what comes after.

That said, if you literally input yourself in MC, maybe you will find some "joy" if you have the right fetish. As for me, no.

After putting way too many hours into this game after a promising prologue, I'm left 6 hours in without seeing so much as a single scene. I've tried playing the game, beating 3 bosses and nothing. I've tried losing in the dungeon and it forces a game over and reload. I've tried walking around town, in every building and every room in those buildings to find nothing beyond the first few prologue scenes.

Im sure that there is some kind of kind of content somewhere in this game, but im sorry, im an adult, I work and have somewhat of a life.I can't spend the next 10 hours hoping so see a poorly drawn elf titty.

Worst NTR game I have played in the last decade. At least the AI shovel-ware that people keep pushing out eventually leads to something.

Overall very good game with lots of scenes and 3 different endings.
Plot is good, but feels lacking in some aspects outside of cutscenes without dialogue normal events.
Fighting system is pretty good, but could be made harder using it to create obstacles, events and dialogue, making characters more alive in the story. Or it could be the same, but would have to remove MC from gameplay being bedridden or something or with some complications and problems. That fact that they are throughout game traveling and fighting together, but without any interaction between them except their backstory which was also not much i would say and that's why it does not feel good.
Talking about CG's, in Art department they are top notch good, sound effects are alright, BUT moaning sounds... don't know how for others, but I would say Borderline Terrible not suitable for sex.

I’ve decided to rate this game 5 stars because it’s been receiving too many unreasonable negative reviews. Recently, someone even gave it a 1-star rating just because they got lost and couldn’t even access the NTR path. I mean, sure, that sounds frustrating, but giving a 1-star rating without experiencing the game’s main content—especially when the issue might partly be a skill problem (many others, including myself, managed to get past that part)—is a bit excessive.

TLDR: This is still an absolutely worthwhile game for fans of hidden NTR. If you like Nebel or Kubel, you should definitely give this game a try.

Alright, now for those who actually want a detailed review. The negative reviews here mostly fall into two categories:
    1. Overhyped by the prologue.
    2. Bored by the overly long prologue, only to find the NTR part doesn’t make up for it.
Both are understandable, but they also highlight the inconsistency of those reviews. So, is the prologue worth playing? In my opinion, yes. While it does feel a bit too long and has too many clichéd elements, it does a good enough job with buildup—arguably better than many other Japanese NTRPGs.

Next, regarding the NTR aspect, this is where I most disagree with the negative reviews, especially the "bored by the overly long prologue, only to find the NTR part doesn’t make up for it." type.
Essentially, I consider this game the male protagonist version of The Curse of Kubel, with some better points and worse points . So, if someone could overlook The Curse of Kubel’s dungeon-crawling gameplay, they’ll likely overlook it here too.

After the dungeon phase, you’ll need to find hidden NTR scenes scattered across the map, which unlock gradually as you progress through the dungeon. First, I’ll highlight the strengths of this part, then move to the weaknesses:
    • Strengths: The idea of hidden NTR scenarios is executed very well. You arrive at the scene, catch a small glimpse of what happened, discover leftover clues, check the heroine’s thoughts and hidden stats via the H-status panel, and accidentally bring it up with her the next morning. Additionally, each night after the protagonist sleeps, you’re shown someone’s room window with cryptic descriptions (which become clearer in the latter half). All of this, combined with the sheer number of scenes, truly sets hidden NTR aspect of this game apart from classic hidden NTRPGs like Scars of Summer or Fujimo’s SAO game.
    • Weaknesses: Remember when I said "hidden NTR scenes scattered across the map unlock as you progress through the dungeon"? Why did I phrase it that way instead of "based on the heroine’s corruption level"? Because whether you see those scenes or not, as long as you clear the dungeon’s 4 floors, the heroine will fully fall. Huh? Still not seeing the issue? Let me clarify:
      • This game has 3 routes: Pure Love, NTR, and Fallen. Once you enter the NTR route, you can only transition to Fallen—not back to Pure Love.
      • To enter the Fallen route, you must fill the heroine’s corruption bar in the H-status panel before clearing the dungeon’s 4th floor (after that, her body and will are completely eroded). If the bar isn’t full, you’ll proceed to the NTR route’s latter half.
      • This means the corruption bar doesn’t fill automatically but only if you only if it takes you too many days to clear the dungeon. This inadvertently implies that the NTR events outside of town have nothing to do with this bar, meaning the afternoon and evening events don't make the heroine "fall further".
Personally, I can overlook this logical flaw some excuse. But still, this is heavy copium, and if it takes this much spoiling + lengthy explanation to state and justify it, then the game’s flaw remains glaring. So, in this regard, the game falls short.

There are also other subjective factors that could affect your experience, like whether you’re into lust crests, whether you like the protagonist, whether the large map bothers you, etc.

Finally, here’s my subjective 10-point rating breakdown:
    • Story: 6.5–7/10
    • Art: 7.5/10
    • Gameplay (including all pros/cons above): 7.5–8/10
    • Overall: ~7.5/10
If you’ve read this far without skipping, you’ve probably already decided whether to play it. Either way, I respect your choice, thanks for taking the time to read this absurdly long review.

I am surprised at the poor rating for this one. It brings a lot to the table. The art is excellent and plentiful. While the maps might be unnecessarily big at times, at least they are limited to the same (few ones) outside the dungeon. The combat is ok and you can skip it too.

As an NTR game, it brings something new to the table (or rare at least) with the complete focus on the MC's view (and the recollection afterwards with the full scene), the corruption is well done (if formulaic) and the Prologue sets the stage really well.

Given all the shovel ware in the genre, this game stands out as a work of love. It's an excellent NTR game.

I'm blaming THE ntr thread on here for hyping me up for this.
It's a complete snooze-fest. Yeah, the prologue was nice. The Flashback and story until the free-roam is good, but then... pure boredom.
After all that build up I was rewarded with a mid looking boob job scene without motion or any sound except a *splurt at the end. Wasted time over a scene hunt game

A game with basically no likable characters, needlessly large maps, way too much walking around trying to find things, incomplete translation (even some bonus Korean thrown in at one point which I haven't figured out how the AI MTL even managed that) and meh quality where it is translated. Some parts of the translation directly impact gameplay (the limited quick travel signs are untranslated as are their menus and the tavern menu). Lastly, while it's somewhat trivial to reach the pure love ending it's just an absolute fucking slog. And you can accidentally get on that path since the branch starts at the first layer or whatever of the dungeon. (It maybe warns you of this, but by the time I reached that point through the infuriatingly needless prologue that drags on and on and really just established a desire to see every character end miserably, I was skipping a lot of dialogue assuming it was the same useless, inane banter and commentary about the weather or some other irrelevant thing the writers clearly didn't intend for anyone to care about.)

The only redeeming part of this game is the art. And it's not like, "wow" but just "decent" and feels better because of how bad everything else feels. 1/5 if you really want to play it. 2/5 if you just want to find a full save and watch the scenes from the elf's perspective (Reminiscence room seemed to be more "show the hidden side" than "look back on what MC saw" so fair warning to anyone who likes the cuck's perspective. I didn't bother to look too closely because I got bored and wasn't terribly interested in the cuck's perspective to begin with but the corruption which happened fairly quick)

Really good hidden NTR game. A lot of walking around and finding clues though which is good for some and bad for others. Dev definitely spent their time creating a solid background so the NTR has a decent impact.

As of v1.2 would recommend running it through MTool to translate missed text.

    YatoSensei

Gonna give this one 2 stars only because of the art.

The art of this game is pretty good and I like it, the prologue is quite good and engaging.

Bad thing is. That is where the good things end.

The game is a glorified scene hunt but that hunt is AWFUL. The map is massive, there are a LOT of location that you can go into but there is 0 indication of where an H event will be happening. You will have to go into every single part of the map, into every single building in order to find them. The dev could've at least added an exclamation mark above the place where events would happen or give us some sort of tracking device for the female MC to know where she is.

The combat system is pointless. You can just toggle on an "Instant Battle" feature that just lets you run through mobs and the only thing you need to fight is a boss. Now don't get me wrong, I HATE when a H game decides to become a full blown RPG with some H elements. I didn't come here to play World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy. But this toggle should just be the default as it's just a time pad if you do all the battles.

Also if you want to go with the "Pure" route, well good luck with all the Holy Water you are gonna have to buy since the "Miasma" meter doesn't get upgraded unless you fill it up and get booted out of the dungeon. It becomes tedious and mind-numbing just spamming the Holy Water and hoping that the random terrain generation will just spawn the stairs to the next level exactly next to you. It's an RNG fest.

Speaking of RNG - the chests. Really? A Lose - Win type of deal on a chest? Is this supposed to be like the weapon crates in COD Zombies where you pray that you get a Ray Gun? Come on....

And the NTR aspect. You BARELY get to see anything happen at all. Just some sounds here and there and the protaganist noticing someone that looks like his GF going somewhere and saying "I-is that her..?" and then nothing. The only hot scene in this entire game for me was
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
The rest of the scenes are locked in the Reminiscence Area.

There is potential here but this needs heavy work and is far away from being "complete" as the tag says.

Absolute dogshit, do not play the game and just use a full save.
I really liked the prologue, even tho it was a walking simulator I enjoyed the story, then the actual story began, and it is so bad, first the map, it is really big for no reason. Makes it not fun to find scenes, because the game doesn't even lead you to anything, and while I enjoy self finding this is not a well done case, the scenes you get while playing aren't well done either, it's always find the heart, get some text, go to sleep, go back to the heart and get some extra dialog, and then rinse and repeat this a dozen times.
Even tho the scenes are really nice it does not make up for how ASS the game is

Honestly... this game has an excellent prologue, maybe this developer should have made a vanilla game only, because his NTR is very bad, very poorly written and tiring. When the prologue ends, this game ends too, I've never felt so bored as in the NTR part of this game. It's very boring to watch the scenes, which only take you to the recollection to see from the female perspective. I was expecting a game with hidden NTR, sex through doors, curtains, the MC's POV being something relevant, but, they don't make good NTR games like this anymore.

    is a frustrating NTR game.

    Magi17

This is a pretty decent mystery NTR game. The art is excellent. The pacing of corruption is so-so only because its forced once you start a route and theres no stopping or slowing it down. Pretty detailed in its storyline and backstory.
  16. 3.00 star(s)

    Neuneu2

The vanilla path isn't worth it, there's no real H scene in it. You're stuck early on in either the vanilla or corruption path, and there aren't really any choices to make. The only thing that sets the two "bad endings" apart fallen and NTR is how long it takes you to finish the game and how much time you spend hunting for H scenes. The fallen path leads to maximum corruption. So, the heroine either falls for the NTR guy or becomes completely corrupt.

You can check out the FMC's POV in the gallery a day after the scenes happen, and while the FMC looks good, the corruption aspect isn't that good or special. And the mc has no impact on it.

Plus, the MC is pretty useless, even though the storytelling at the beginning makes you think he could be more than just a clueless, oblivious character. He isn't.
