Lag while opening a popup windows.

Problem only present in Chrome not Firefox.
When I open up a post reaction summery popup, or the flag spoiler popup the system lags terribly. Any ideas? I turned off all plugins it made no difference.

some people experience this. probably related to a recent chromium update but i have seen no solution except switching to a non-chromium based browser like firefox. we can hope it will be fixed with a later chromium update

In that thread one suggestion was to turn off Hardware acceleration. Mine was off so I turned it on and that fixed it, cheers.
