I so wanted to give this a higher score since I enjoy the visuals and the characters....but then the writing and the pacing just make me wanna rip my
    hair out.

within four days of meeting the first LI the MC is married to five guys three of which is has barely had more then a single conversation with, and 2 episodes later has still not had much more then that with them. and by then we have added a 6 pet and like four more LIs queued up and that is just boring, they stop being people with stories and are just different colored cat girls.
I wanted to rage about the character Nia but I was just so worn down with the story by that point that I just rolled my eyes, I feel like you are just adding characters based on a poll or something.

Please fix your pacing and sit down to figure out what story you wanna tell, you just seem to be trying to do everything and it's making a mess out of the kitchen.

Wow such a good start, such a stupid MC line.
Guy with superior weapon, sucks from the queen, wouldn't be better fly away from these barbaric cats? or at least have a corsage to stay in front of queen, such stupid position.
anyway, i'll try to play more, for now.

well i think i'll pass on this game.
    1. almost no choices - MC is dragged everywhere like cuck he is. I'd literally told all those nekos to fuck off. they claimed him like he is an object.
    2. MC is cuck, has nothing to say, also I don't know how people can, like being called pet and dominated by bunch of girls you didn't wat to even know in a first place.
    3. if there would be a button, I'd take Aury and fucked off from that "paradise".

jnx's analysis is pretty much what I would say, he says in a much more detailed way everything I felt while playing.

It could have had a slower pace, spending time with the girls on planet earth surviving and building the relationship little by little, since one is a tsundere, it could have made her get attached to the MC little by little during the trip. and spend more time during the space station with problems of lack of resources and having to leave on the ship and then more time getting to know them during the trip in space and then arriving on the planet neko
By the time we get there, players would have already become attached to the neko girls and it would be more acceptable to "marry" them as a pet.
than getting married the day after the planet exploded with the tsundere having hated him just a few days before getting married.

some confusing things, the girl in red who fought in the arena, spoke as if she already knew the mc from another dimension.. even the queen seemed to know him and the battle in the arena seemed to be like a test to see if it was the real mc (?) but the mc barely has the curiosity to ask questions? The lack of curiosity in this is not a normal reaction.

After reading jnx's comment I understood the reference to the other game and since I haven't played the other one, it was quite confusing for me.
If I'm in this game, I shouldn't have to worry about the other one and focus only on this one.

so there seems to be a more powerful version of the mc in another dimension, as the characters refer to it, a god of dreams and desires, and the mc of our own dimension only won the fight in the arena out of mercy because of a wish,

and I didn't really like knowing that there's a more powerful version of another MC, even more so if he's having sex with the other girls, or even less if our MC isn't really a "last human" since he has other dimensions... it kind of loses the purpose of the planet exploding.

lack of choices during gameplay, I think it's a way for the developer to force situations into the story that the player would avoid because they find the situation unpleasant? I don't know, it's hard to say why, but having some choices at least in the relationship part wouldn't affect the story and wouldn't cost anything.

EDIT: Ok, I'm giving it 1 star because besides forcing lis in the MC, in a game without choices, the MC is forced to have a male child with the game's antagonist and still treats her as if she were a friend.

EDIT 2: Rin, the girl in red who fights you in the arena and hates you since the first day of the game because she let you win the fight and always treats you badly.
She is actually a character from the developer's other game, a lis, and now the other mc from the other game "gave permission" for her to date the mc from this current game,
and our current MC asks "but don't you already love the other MC?" she answers "yes I do, but you and he are the same person so I can be with both of you and love both of you"
For me this is NTR, if I don't have control and I don't know the other MC, nor the other game, and much less am I not represented by it, then yes it would be an NTR,

and the current MC invites a male alien to the ship who tried to kill the queen and becomes close friends with him, who even forgets to pay attention to the girls to stay drinking with another male,

we barely know all of our LIS, we barely had sexual interaction with all of them, and the former antagonist who wanted to have a child who is now also in love with the MC in one day, and a scientist wants to take MC's sperm and artificially impregnate all the girls on the planet, in the least fun way possible than having sex with them, MC hasn't even had sex and he knows all the lis and they already want to use his sperm to get everyone on the planet pregnant
I imagine that after this the MC will even lose its purpose and interest for the majority there, and the MC will just accept everything and keep its head down.

Game is amazing. The setting is pretty great. You are exactly the Last Human. It's set in a SCI-FI world filled with space, Neko hotties and some pretty hot sex scenes.

All of the girls have their own personalities and seem to generally care for our MC and each other. What happened on their planet and why they're the way they are with the MC explains why they feel the way that they do.

The animations are great. All the Nekos are hot and look amazing during scenes. I also quite enjoyed the ship layout and how detailed it was. You can tell a lot of passion went into every nook and cranny of this VN. Each update leaves me wanting more.

I really want to go more into detail about the story but I don't wanna spoil anything. It's great. If you like sexy cat girls and like SCI-FI give this game a try. I highly recommend it.

    Ehhhh....

Whilst the game has a good setup, nice designs and an interesting theme its held back by the poor pacing and a very inconsistent tone or idea of what the game is meant to be.

The game seems to be trying to juggle being both a somber and slow romance game and a game where every single girl instantly wants to fuck you.
Leading to romances where you barely get to interact with the characters before you are deeply in love with each other, Yet also being a game where despite every single girl being extremely horny for you there's very little sexual activity. It's trying to be both and thus succeeding at neither.
To make it worse as the game gets developed they seem to adding more love interests even though the ones who already exist ( some of whom you are literally married to) are essentially strangers to you with no scenes sexual or otherwise.

Kinda leads to the game being unsatisfying on both fronts where it's neither arousing or something I can emotionally invest into.

I was originally going to give it a 3/5 but writing this review made me realise how annoying the writing was in places and how empty the overall experience felt.

    2/5

Unrelated but the main character is so boring. WOW he's so perfect and everybody loves him and everything he does is perfect and literally nobody or nothing is an even slight obstacle for him dude could be get sent to hell and the devil would see him there and personally take him up to heaven. One of the more egregious examples of a gary stu in a situation where it really does not fit

I realized I have not properly rated and reviewed this VN. The characters are well done with good visuals and animations. Personalities of the LI's and MC have a solid foundation. The story and plot are interesting and flows well with scene transitions occurring smoothly. Dialogue is easy to follow and relative to the scenes they are describing and conversations they are included in. The MC finding himself in a completely new culture with a humanoid species is well enough done.. so much so it creates culture shock in some of the players apparently. What some people do not get is that these interactions are occurring with a different species with their own cultural views, opinions, and attitudes. The Developer can take these interactions in literally any direction and be correct since we are talking about interacting with alien species. The MC is the one that has to adapt because he is alone on their turf. If the MC had gone in guns blazing trying to dominate and change them, he would have been kicked out and truly be wandering the universe alone with just Auri. He changes them gradually simply by integrating and interacting with them, thereby allowing the beneficial aspects of both cultures to change one another, thereby adapting to hardships on both sides. The crossovers are done well and in such a way to indicate that alternate universes exist and interact, creating many possible storytelling opportunities.

It's really solid, the MC has a real character, and isn't meant to be the usual perverted self insert. Story is good so far, no real signs of any over arching plot yet. Worldbuilding is interesting, there is a lot of room for cool alien species.

The relationship pacing is fast, so fast it was pretty jarring at times. Going from not knowing the MC, to loving him in what seems less than 10 days, it felt like there are some bonding moments that got missed along the way.

Ultimately the best part of this VN is the story, setting, and characters. The story is open ended, allowing for it to go in whatever direction the dev wants, the setting is cool, and the characters have room to grow.

really awesome game. Almost at the level of Eternum. Nice character modeling. Pulls at your heart strings and all the girls are very cute. Each of them has very distincted personalities. I cried and laughed. That councel meeting on Nia man, I got all teary. I like it so much I got on patreon to give this dude my money so he can continue to develop this game. I am also playing Serenity now as the story of this game bridges that older game. I am really into Nekos now.

Avg: 5.0/10 [2.5/5] - (I'm rounding it up because, while the interpersonal stuff is bad, the characters and world isn't terrible, jsyk)

Do you like everyone repeating the word "Neko" until they're blue in the face? How about legions of women with no personalities, all having the same body type throwing themselves at you?(not terrible, I guess, but gets boring) Maybe an MC that never has to work for anything? Or every romance being love at first sight? Boy, howdy, do I have the game for you. The only difference between this and the last game by the same dev, is instead of his mom dying, his dad dies. Sure, some setting tweaks, instead of magic, it's tech. And you get to have the MC get punched in the face. But it's still the same "We want to be wholesome," all the problems are solved by heart to heart conversations, and all the LI's are as interesting as bread sandwiches. Don't get me wrong, I like wholesome love stories and such. But in this you're given no real agency and less than zero time to learn anything about the LI's. At least nothing past grumpy, horny, or submissive. I want to say, the world building is enjoyable. I like the universe thats here, but the writing is boring. A story is something like: Intro, call to action, journey, b-plot, filler/slow point, problems arise, climactic confrontation, and resolution. This is: Intro, filler, refernce, and "HEY PLAY MY OTHER GAME". It's a shame, really. If the effort that went into world building and editing character sliders in Honey Select, was channeled into interactions and drama there would be no stopping this. But here we are.

The game starts up reassuring your inferiority complex that "Just because the Nekos call you pet, doesn't mean they're femdomming you. So please don't angrily review this." And it "wasn't written for sex," but nothing really happens in this story. So what else is it other than a framing object for MC to accumulate a harem? I'm getting ahead of myself, you play as [MC] Trent. The Last Human. THEY SAID THE TITLE OMG. The Earth's core is destabilizing because the moon was struck out of orbit, not what would actually happen, but it's what's happening in the story. Somehow the entire race of humans died out and left only one person due to scientific egos clashing. Pay attention, this is the only conflict in the story. They all died because no one else tried to survive, AND, MC and his dad didn't try to save anyone else. I don't know if anyone picked up on that, if they wanted more people, all they would've had to do was open the damn front door. /end_of_conflict. This starts a few days before he intends to try to fly to a spaceship and escape the planet exploding. He then narrates how he's alone with Zeena the AI. He's super stong, super smart, and the most amazing guy ever. And super modest too. The next day, he saves Alexis, a cat girl that jumped through a wormhole. She is the most bare-bones tsundere ever made, even colored red, for her fiery temper. She does the typical "I guess I'll thank you for saving me" and even bitches about humans? Even though they've never made contact? Right. Then, in infinite wisdom, they sleep naked together... On a planet that is -100C... After just meeting... bUt tHiS gAmE iSnT aBoUt sEx. Even IF the tech existed to have some mystical climate control in a specific area, YOUD BUNDLE THE FUCK UP. AND THEY STILL SPELL "perv" "perve." Will nobody tell this man? Next day? The same thing happens with Natalie when she comes through a wormhole at the same location, more of the same. We are maybe 10 mins into the story, and the SAME event happens twice in a row. Not a good look.

They help him charge the rocket, while multiple times he does the "alpha" incel "You don't tell me what to do, I tell you, woman." thing a bunch. Which is uncomfortable. Nat fixes the charger, MC gives her a bit of a compliment while still complimenting himself. Asks if they want pizza, or know what it is, and somehow they do? Because they're a race of advanced, comely, cat girls that survive off pizza, sex, and... AVN's... After the last meal, that, instead of getting a scene with small talk and learning about the LI's naturalistically, they skip the dinner and narrowly boost off into space, ready for 'exciting' adventures to ensue. Hopping aboard, you meet Aurora(Aury) ANOTHER AI, but this one is programmed to want sex with MC, thanks to his dad. Hmm... Sorta like a sexual fanfic written by MC's mom from another game? The parallels are remarkable! MC then sleeps for 27 hours, instead of getting time to mingle and learn about the two alien women that are throwing themselves at him, because writing dialogue is hard. They then get attacked by an enemy that does no damage. Because damage would mean a problem, and we can't have those. Aury destroys the enemy, and MC has yet another hissy fit about someone doing something without his say so. You know, because anyone other than MC can't have authority, power, or individuality. Otherwise, he must be some beta male cuck. I'm reading between the lines a little too hard, but come on, jeez. While him getting mad that she started destroying the enemy is somewhat justified, he failed to act in the situation, and got mad due to his own shortcomings. Anyway their weakest attacks are stronger than anything they have, they overwhelm the enemy and make them run away. He's then thanked by the queen, but as per usual, MC puts his foot in his dumb mouth spouting how "HE'S been disrespected" When the queen literally just thanked him. But noooo, not even the queen of a planet can speak when he's talking. She's punishing her subordinates for screwing up, when has anything remotely negative been directed at him? Why do I feel like the only person actually reading this?

Then the battle arena. Rin shows up to fight him, she's from the other game I'm not even allowed to mention, and is literally the same character as Lexi. But MC can't even lose to an interdimensional wish granting goddess that was not only the strongest fighter in her story, but technically doesn't actually exist. Creating more plotholes for the other story. But I digress. He fights for the right to be claimed, wins and more women, that fell in love at first sight, join Nat and Lexi in his intergalactic harem. Now consisting of Grumpy, Horny, Happy, Bashful, Boring, and Bot. Queeny comes later, to give you the whole cast of the seven dwarves. It YET AGAIN does the "We had a great time and I learned all about them off screen. You really shoulda been there!" And MC says sex is great but not if there's no romance. But YOU THE PLAYER don't get to experience any of that, the game just tells you it happens off screen every chance it gets. The fist 'mission' is they head to a trash planet for soil samples, and in the infinitum of space, these super nanobots that MCs dad made are attracted to a dog Nat made when she was a kid. I do have to say that I'm shocked and astounded that there wasn't a dumb prompt to pet the stupid dog. Then comes back regarded as a hero for soil samples. This man is playing with dirt and a planet is drooling over him. The bar is so low. Soon after, there's the Lexi backstory, her sob story is "I'm so strong people are scared of me, boo hoo."

Followed by Nia. She is played up to be a villain, but all she wanted was sex. "I want a child, let me have sex with your boyfriend." That is the whole villain arc, I mean, with a bunch of actual terrorism and mild treason. But don't worry about that, because no one else does. She falls in love with MC right away, by the way. They get stranded on another ice planet, after using the most advanced starship the Pantherians could make. Beaten by snow. And after, she's put on trial for essentially attempting to murder the queen and assaulting the palace. But she's pretty and simp MC can't disrespect a woman. Unless she talks when he talks or does something he doesn't like. And we're getting all this backstory and lore, or whatever, with Nia, some new character but there's FIVE other girls already in a relationship with MC that we literally know NOTHING about. Even though MC says he loves them. The courtroom scene is also a farce. MC defends an actual terrorist from a room in which he is romantically involved with every single person. Yes, that includes Rin, do not fight me on this. And this scene also further proves Rin and Lexi are the same character. Finally, current end of content ends on a crap dream sequence to try to make the OTHER MC seem like a more compelling character and adding another girl to learn nothing about. Great.

I'm sure most of the people that love this have already either moved on or are gonna report a negative review on something they love, whatever. But It's a good story hidden under boring interactions written for people with fragile egos. The English, thankfully, is good. Constant spelling mistakes, but not headache inducing. UI and UX, outside of the main menu is default, the pause menu makes it hard to see the buttons though. Not to mention the "pet" nickname thing. It either should be capitalized or learn how to capitalize the variable in text, because sometimes it's the only word they say. Just a weird thing I kept noticing. Art is above average HS, MC has a weird face, but it's fine. The dialogue is, as per usual, "Everyone, why can't we be nice? Just be nice, okay? But don't EVER talk while I'm talking or undermine me." So... Cringy. The story could be great, the last human travelling the galaxy meeting other civilizations. But no, it's just a guy, the ONLY male on a planet of overtly horny catgirls. And I guess I will agree, sex ISN'T the focus of the story. Lording possible future sex over you, the player, is the focus. You have all these women with air traffic control lights pointing at their vaginas, halted by "I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO DO RIGHT NOW" NPC energy. ALL of the romance happens off screen, but this is supposed to be romance focused. So you get minimal adventure, minimal sex, and no romance. All with what? Six month intervals between releases? What is left? I'm sure all you can say at that point is "At least the catgirls go nyah."

But whatever, best of luck to the dev. Even if I do hope, one day, they actually try to write some drama, ANY drama, into their stories.

    [0.5]

I wish I could give half stars so I could give this a 4 1/2 stars vs 4 stars.

The game has a story a bit silly and the dialogue cringe worthy in some case but overall it is superior to most game's stories. The sex is a slow burn with one sex scene in the games so far. The next episode should have one based on the story but the dev might have written in some kind of cock block moment for all I know but i would guess next release will have a sex scene early in the episode.

i don't mind slow burn for characters but i find that slow burn for the game feels forced vs natural. As things stand now it is starting to feel force as you are "married" to 6 women and have only bedded one. It is starting to get silly.

The models are attractive the characters vary and the sex based on one encounter feels like the developer didn't rush it. A few more camera angles would be nice however.

There are many animations but the majority are not sexual/lewd so don't be fooled. This is a disappointment in terms of flap time but not in terms of visual story telling.

This visual novel needs a better fab to time ratio but there is no grind. The character is proactive and not a complete wanker. Which use to be more uncommon than it is now but still nice that the MC isn't a jerk.

I can't speak on the speed of releases as I just played the game for the first time not can I comment on their average size. I hope this game has legs and the developer doesn't get bored and move on.

If you like VN I think you'll enjoy the novel but be aware it is not a game and there is one sex scene but much more nudity than the single sex scene. These cat aliens sleep in the buff.

It's interesting, with buckets of potential, but could be MUCH better.

I personally don't enoy the MC at all, not his personality or his appearance. His head doesn't really match his body. I also STRONGLY dislike the whole pet thing. The "Nekos" talk about the MC like he is an object/property, a lower life form, or like he is not in the room while standing right next to him... like he can just be loaned out or passed around to whoever wants him. To me that is just disgusting and emasculating.

There's WAY too many borderline femdom moments without actually having the tag. I also don't like how insanely passive the MC is in so many of his interpersonal interactions. He does grow a spine in some interactions, but not enough. It feels like all the power he has is 100% wasted on his super weak mentality. Personally I don't enjoy male OR female dom, things should be more of a partnership if you are aiming for "Romance."

Now the story, it IS very interesting and has tons of potential. I also like the small links to the other game. Things are set up in a smart way, where there are open ended possibilities. The music is also pretty good, it's not obnoxiously repetitive and actually suits the mood of the dialogue.

For now I can only rate this 3 out of 5. If the MC ever grows from his current state and stops being such a doormat that would easily go to a 4.7 out of 5. I just can't fully immerse myself in the story of develop a connection to the world being created with such a weak MC.

Much like the counter part Serenity this too is one of the best visual novels you will find. I am excited to see what new worlds await the MC. Also, the thought process of literally being the last of your kind. Once again thanks for letting us step into your world.

    Review for version 0.3

So, Last Human is more down to Earth (sorry for the pun) than Serenity, and this is really a great improvement. Such a joy to my heart.
The story is solid, cat-girls are hot, my dick is hard. And the battle with Rin feels like right cross-over with Serenity.
BTW, what a relief that Aury didn't look like MCs' mother:KEK:

Good game worth playing. Good renders and a nice story. I'm glad it's story centric. Really enjoyed the game only problem is it's kinetical. But as long as the story is good I won't mind even if it is kinetical. That being said I played Dev's other game serenity but it didn't gave me that much impression. Well I only played for first few minutes though. But this game totally got me engaged from the beginning. So I'm glad I dropped serenity now it's time to check out serenity again.

Overall I enjoyed the game. If you like story centric games give this one a try. Keep up the good work Dev looking forward to next updates

So far loving the story. Can't wait to see where it goes. Love the idea of being a pet. Love all the girls thus far. No issues on android platform and graphics are great. My only issue is I already wish this was finished and could play the entire game.

I'm fan of Serenity so this game is also one of few was looked forward to.
Nothing personal, N2TheFire, but I needed to spit something I had on my mind.

As someone said before, the good stuff is here:
    * There are few really cute kitties I like so far and being there one tough kitty from Serenity also helps.
    * There is no need to haste sexual stuff. There is enough skin to see in this version already so no need to show sexual activity, it'S just beginning. If you want to see pussies close-up (or dicks in some cases), go watch porn.
And then there is stuff that I dislike and that drop from 5 stars to 3:
    * Showing MC's face. Yes, That is something I don't want to see. The fantasy of being last fuckin human is iritating if you see that brat instead of nothing imaginating it to be yourself :-D
    * Not allowing to rename "family name" is one bit I will fix with mod, but also one small minus.
    * For an version 0.3 there is not much to show, Story is a bit dry and I did expect to see more action, not jist simple fight.
    * I think that there is no need to descripe personalities because everyone can se and understand it from context. So just some more reading, some blank spaces to fill with nothing.

Very fun. The girls are great, you dont see a lot of cat girls, their designs are good, personalities are fun. The plot is interesting so far, the sounds are nice. Since its still early its hard to say how the future will turn out but there is enough there to hint to me that there isnt much to worry about. Looking forward to the rest of the game. I do wish the MC looked better though.

    G'day N2TheFire

Ok first off i am a really big fan of Serenity, you have done a wonderful job on it.
i found it really cute where you had virtual novel games being played on the MC's p.c. and then had Melody come into the game from the start of her game.
as well as the other girl, i have her game, but haven't played it yet.
not sure what game the nurse comes from hehe.

as for anyone complaining about Serenity all being about magic or whatever.
there is a old saying that some big name Science Fiction Authors like to use.
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

This is a saying created by Arthur C. Clarke, he was a scientist as well as a Very Famous Science Fiction writer, if you haven't read any of his book's then you really should.

    Now as for Last Human.
I am also loving this new game, yes it is only episode one so far, but dam i am really enjoying it.
I found it strange that the earth got destroyed, instead of blowing out the side or turning into a fiery Hell world when the moon crashed into it, but hey it was different, let's hope no more Neko went through a wormhole as it was blowing up.

As for the Nanobot's, i didn't find it strange that they were not spoken about after the ship left the Sol System,
i was hoping they were onboard the Aurora to help with any future repairs and upgrades as was thinking that the MC should offer some to the Neko Queen to help rebuild the Neko Space Station with some big Defence upgrades on it, maybe over some Pillow talk he could talk about a Babylon 6 Space Station ? where are the Rangers when you need them hehe.
Hmm, Pet's and Harem's, does that mean the Neko Girls on his Ship are all the MC's Pet's to ?
because a owner can also have many pet's.
As for mapping the Pantherian system, i did find this a little strange, but one it would be a good test mission for the new crew member's as well as making sure the enemy of the Neko haven't created to many more problems else where in the system.

Anyway as i said i am loving both of your games.
and for any haters out there, before you go giving a game Developer a hard time and complaining about there game, why don't you go and try making your own game and try and make something better then there's.
If you can, wonderful, great job, better for everyone.
And if you can't, well there's a another old saying.
    Those who can't do, teach.

Genuinely a good start. The pacing was good, till we got on the rocket but that's not that immersion killing that I'd take points off for it. It just wasn't really explained how close in approximation to the other planets we were lol. Or how fast the ship was going, so I assume it was left a gray area for that exact reason. Not meant to be 1:1 scale set in reality to our world. Since this does appear to be taking place in the same universe as Serenity. The renders were clean, the story and characters are awesome and there wasn't nearly as much life threatening action as in Serenity, so it was a good casual slowburn which I enjoyed. The music was great and really shaped the atmosphere as well, and the characters are all quirky and funny and endearing in their own ways as well. Overall there wasn't anything I could complain about so 5 stars.

2024-08-22 just got caught up on chapters 3 and 4. It's still bad. The characters lack charm, the story lacks stakes. Overall just a very cringe experience.

If you like the dev's other game, Serenity, you'll like this one. If you don't like Serenity, this still may be worth checking out, but still has all the same issues Serenity has.

    The Good Stuff:
    • Gorgeous HS2 catgirls that like to cuddle naked in bed
    • Beautifully rendered environments that don't look sparse, or copy pasted from other games. Everything in the frame seems to belong there.
    • Creative, interesting story concepts.
    The Bad Stuff:
    • No lewds or animations as of 0.3
    • For a game that explicitly calls itself a story first and not just a sex game, the story isn't very good.
    • Game is presented as a sci-fi adventure but it really just wants to be a lighthearted slice-of-life with infantile characters.
    • The MC is a massive gary stu, everyone falls in love with him immediately. He also has indestructible bones and super strength. This wouldn't be such a huge problem on its own but...
    • Every character is so smart and so strong at what they do, that every time the author throws up a roadblock or threat, instead of maintaining any kind of tension, that issue is instead quickly resolved by our heroes very quickly. This is a huge problem in Serenity as well. As a result the narrative has to move quickly to the next big threat, which is just a quickly defeated. So the story both feels rushed and as if it has no stakes. New characters that start off antagonistic are on team-MC within a few scenes. By episode 2 even the queen of the catgirls is demurely cooing over the MC and saying "yes dear" to his every suggestion about how to run things.
    • Even Mean Cat, who is Very Mean to the MC at the beginning but shows a softer side, basically confesses to the MC by the end of the update, firmly extinguishing anything interesting in the character or the relationship.
    • N2 has a tendency to tell you the personalities of the characters instead of show them to you. There's a Mean Cat who is rude and condescending, theres a Nice Cat who is bubbly and complimentary at all times, and after each interaction the MC reflects on the interaction and comments on how they are they way they are. There is also a Nympho Cat who we meet briefly at the end of the episode. How do we know she is Nympho Cat? The other characters told us this explicitly, even before we meet her. In the following scene she says some nympho stuff, and later is seen without pants on. But this wouldn't have been sufficient for the reader to get it I guess, so the author has to TELL us first so we aren't surprised. As a result it feels like the author doesn't trust the audience to figure out the relatively simple story or its two-dimensional characters.
    • The dev is splitting his time between this game and another game, so don't hold your breath on this game developing rapidly unless Serenity gets shelved.
