Reviewing 0.0.08
Artwork is uhhh... hit-and-miss. Some of it looks awesome (Laura's standing portrait), some of it looks horrible (Laura's sprite). It all looks unique, though, so that's neat in its own regard. There is animated pixel art, as well as animated full cg. The pixel art animations have a freezing issue that will need to be addressed in a later version.
Another note about the artwork that I REALLY REALLY like: Laura's standing portrait shows her eyes moving when she directs her vision towards things that arouse her, or when she looks around a new area. This is an AWESOME feature that I wish more games had. Kudos to the dev for their creativity.
Story is okay. There are plenty of fun interactions, especially near the beginning of the game. I haven't done multiple playthroughs, but it seems like some of the early-game decisions affect what Laura will say (and do?) later. Another neat feature.
There is also already a pretty good amount of content, despite the version only being "0.0.08".
Flaws:
1) Riddled with typos
2) Riddled with bugs
3) Strange word choices. Lots of British English words, like "bum" instead of ass/butt. There are also a lot of scenes where the dialogue feels like it was structured as if the dev was casually posting on social media. This third flaw is, admittedly, subjective, but I am not personally a fan of it.
This game easily has the potential to be 5/5 once the developer polishes things up. I look forward to seeing its progress.
