I don't get it, you've put in all this effort to make a game and all the scenarios are: You expose yourself, you get caught, they pin you down and fuck you... that's it!

If I had the creative juices and the know-how to put in effort to make a game I like to think that I can come up with some good scenarios, I know that there are limitations on what you can depict with CGs but even so it's sad seeing such limited effort being put into characters and situations.

There's this old man with a sex dungeon in his home, somehow his wife doesn't know that there's effectively a love hotel room in her house, she thinks her husband's cheating on her with another woman so naturally she asks a high school girl with H-cup tits to "find out if he's cheating or not".

Man, the scenarios you could come up with in this situation, what happened was she walked into the house and turns out her grandmother was there with the husband having a chat, so she went upstairs and found "evidence" (a receipt to a restaurant) but got horny and started masturbating, husband walks into the room and discovers her, bam, pins her down on the bed, fucks her, "Please don't tell my wife and forget that I just raped you thanks bye." That's it?

Just imagine all the dialogue you could come up with, you could blackmail her, tell her she's trespassing, threaten with the police... nay, letting her grandmother literally downstairs know what's going on. I mean, OOF! Absolutely delicious!

Ask her what she's doing, point out how wet she is and how hard you are for her/rediscovered the vitality of your youth etc, tell her she wants it and not to lie to you, exclaim that if she knows what to do then to get on the bed however she likes, when she climbs on all fours call her a dirty/naughty girl for wanting it from behind, put her at ease by sweetly telling her to just put her head down on the bed, arch her back and relax. Then she hears a belt unbuckling and she feels the bed shift from the weight behind her, "Do you want it? Show me! The hard cock that you want can't go in dry, I can't do everything myself, why don't you rub some of your love juices on my stiff cock, it'll feel better that way..."

There are so many cut & paste situations that are: exposed / caught / pinned down / fucked / cya bye. I mean, c'mon man!

It seems to me that a lot of games are made by skilled artists, or sometimes skilled programmers, who have little sense of writing and game design.

I often have the same feeling as you: "the art in this game is so good, and must have taken so long, why not put in the small effort to make the writing better or the gameplay loop more fun??" The simple answer is usually just that these developers are artists at heart, not game designers.

This is why games developed by teams are usually so good. When a skilled programmer, artist, writer, and designer can come together to cover all the bases you get some real magic stuff.

Because most of the time it requires more than just a little effort.
Writer and Game designer are two of the many jobs you need to master if you're doing a solo project.
There are so many things to do on a project that gamedevs can't necessarily give the same attention everywhere at the same time, or they have to find partners as you said.

There are lots of projects out there looking for a writer, and there may be one that interests you.

nobody's tolstoy dude. most of the time even big billion dollar game companies come up with simple/shitty scripts. you have to remember that 99% of the people who make adult games are amateurs trying to do everything alone.
