There is a reason why I have stopped giving people my money through Patreon. I'd rather pay for a completed product than keep pumping money into a project that I don't even know will actually be finished. There are rare exceptions, like when the developer has a good track record of delivering, but those exceptions seem to become rarer.

Many other creators on Patreon will just leave you in the dark.
Yeah sometimes I feel bad that I mostly scrounge every sex game I play for free. I've literally only donated to two.

But then I remember all the cancelled or abandoned projects and can't help but feel it's a huge waste of money that I don't have a lot of to spare.
Communication is definitely the worst thing, would hate to be donating to something that might just be dead.

Not sure how it would work and it'd be woefully susceptible to corruption but it'd be cool if there was a service where donations would work more like wages, the donations would be added to the pot but the creators would only get them when they release stuff, giving them an incentive to keep working and be active or else the pot drains away to the website.

I feel like if nothing else something to that nature would be good for creators to organize themselves and keep themselves motivated, I can totally understand how it'd be so easy to just fall in the hole of "Well I'm getting heaps of money anyway another day off won't hurt"

But yeah like I said that could easily become a scummy website. If it was trustworthy then creators who use it would be easier to have some faith in.

Patreon does offer the option for payments when the creator delivers something instead of every month. But not a lot of people use that, for obvious reasons.

Yeah but there's a problem with that as well since people can just make weekly "updates" that add barely nothing and get money.

I'm not sure how abusable that is really, since as you say barely anyone uses it, but yeah it's potentially exploitable.

Maybe a site where you register as a donator or whatever, when an update is released you get offered it and then you can give them as much money as you felt the update was worth? Minimum 1 dollar I guess.
That way devs always get some money, higher quality games would have higher donations/payments and there wouldn't be games that have massively inflated revenue by people who forget they're even donating.

Even that would be hard to manage. Like, its not bad to give them 1 buck if you think the game is nice, but stop the next month because you feel the updates are slow. Its just a shame the people who are just milking the cash cow still get so much that it doesnt really matter.

You can look on Trello, they also have a Discord.
This is a Patreon milking scam disguised as a donation service just like every other game though.
Most likely nothing will happen for several months since the last release was pretty recent.
Especially since the developer has Ultra Instinct when it comes to dodging questions.
Buckle up, it's gonna be a slow painful slog of a ride, and that's assuming it even has a destination.

Really ? thank you for news ...
You shouldn't jump on the next best horse you can find. Better to collect some informations and make your own experiences before you...well...take that rather sad looking opinion for granted.^^

Yeah no that's just my cynical, baseless opinion that's only based on what every other Patreon game except a few rare exceptions have shown to be their end result so far, making several thousand dollars a month with no progress for upwards of 12 months and such. It's entirely irrelevant and since it's just an opinion and not facts or experiences it doesn't matter, by all means do your own research so you can end up just as bitter and disappointed as I am.

Heres a research for you:

- Abelius, the coder of the game, was in a trip for 1 month. He didnt have access to his main computer and thus he couldnt work on the game. This is why this month there were no updates;
- New update that is coming is going to be 0.75. Dev-s haven't said much about it, but we kinda can say for sure its not going to be big;
- When? Dev-s say that soon, (approximately) in a couple of days. No certain date though;
- After 0.75, 0.8 will be coming the next month, earlier than usual;
- Just because coder was in a trip doesn't mean the artist was slacking. Kuja works every day, doing additional stuff. Theres a lot of content piled up while Coder was in a trip, so next updates shoudl include something interesting;

- Getting in contact with developers is not easy, yes. But if you do, you'll find out that they are pretty opened about their project and their plans, and they are in general very nice guys. They cant talk to every single person, since they got a ton of work to do and they are simply busy doing it;

- There are only 2 guys working on that project, so naturally this game is far from being Sonic-speed developed. But unlike other projects this one has a feeling of soul, ideas and quality being put into it;
- You can butthurt as long as you want, but just because developers get a couple of thousand $ from their patreon supporters doesnt mean that they will instantly hire an entire development team to speed up the content release. They are 2 guys that want to do a game they have interest in. Just the 2 of them, noone else. Amount of money they get mean only 1 thing - a lot of people like their idea and want to support them. Thats it.

I fully understand why you are in a despair state since a lot of projects on Patreon truly milk their supporters, but please refrain from overall negativity if you dont know much about the project, its team and/or how the games are made. Making a game is not easy, and these 2 are far from being professionals with 20 years expirience of game development, they still have a lot to learn.

Have patience.

You made a whole lot more assumptions about me than I ever stated about the project.
In fact, I was pretty vague and encouraged the other user to learn more about the project and ask around on Discord.
If it makes you feel better to put me down, call me butthurt and assume I haven't done my own research that's that's cool though.
Maybe you should get over yourself before you try to act above someone else.

This comes close to a "no u" reaction.

Someone gives you a lot of reasons to not put them into the same box as the really nasty Patreon milkers but oh no...you knew it better. X3

Oh, I'm sorry I didn't dispute your list and tuned you out the second your post became half-assed insults.
I encouraged the other user to learn about the project since my bitter view of it was probably not shared by them.
I shared my opinion on it, the events surrounding it and the progress it's made since the author began making vague excuses.
Like I said, if you feel better about yourself that's good, but being so overtly defensive says a lot. Especially given how many baseless assumptions you threw around.
It's cool if that's your lifestyle, that seems to be how most furries react to anything honestly, but the need to put a text emoji at the end of your post to accentuate how badly you "rekt" me is cute.

You sure about that?

"vague" and "encouraging to learn", huh?
You should work on your encouragements. They dont feel that inspiring to me.

As an answer I gave you facts. From your speech I made a presumtion that you feel very offensive about this project.
Very often people get offensive since they dont know how games are made. If one haven't worked in the gamedev industry, one doesnt know how many troubles developers go through. Thats totally okay though.

I dont really have to go over myself, because I'm totally okay with this project and I'm more than sure that these guys will create an amazing game in the end. Maybe it will take them some time, but I have faith in them.
I talked to them and their community and all the feedback, dialogues and ideas they have are very positive.

Edit: and wow wow wow there, pal. Chill. Just because you're angry doesnt mean you have to bite everyone that is not agreed with you.

There was that whole other post where I made fun of it and told the guy to do research so they could be as angry and bitter as I am, but you're so defensive you read all of this as anger and offence. Again, says more about you than me but okay.
If that's all it takes to trigger you then that's cool, I'm pretty well aware of what a development cycle is but I'm also aware of what a broken promise with a vague excuse is, whatever that's fine too.

Everyone's a game developer on this site, and spending money on a passion project makes them a skilled, and experienced producer too so by that standard just about everyone has been in the industry, except me of course because I don't use furry emojis.
Given that your post history is just blind defence of these things I'm gonna go ahead and leave you to it.
Have a nice day, buddy.
