In the sea of smut, I try and be as honest as I can in brushing up on gems.
Well, this one is a bit of a doozy.
So, what's with this one then? From what we have after 4~ years of development, something great and something odd.
What we got is great, corruption for Krystal, based on both lust and sub stats. That makes the whole choice wheel interesting, considering that instead of many others that are in the same corrupted vine of gameplay, usually lust or corruption itself is the only driver in what options you can choose when it comes to lewds and how lewd/corrupted your character will be. Here, however, you have those two stats that influence seperate choices, such as choosing to be either submissive with different flavors and texts, lustful where Krystal is more into it and wants it, or a mixture of both. Either way, interesting means of trying to break the lewd into more lewds for you to enjoy. There are other gameplay mechanics, but that usually just acts as a gate into testing the waters again with what Krystal is going to do when being asked to do chores for food. Examples are hauling a heavyass pot to clean it at a river, and be lewd with the lizard men in helping them "help" you with the corrupt stat based choices, or being the masochist and never delving into any type of lust/subness and keeping your morals in check on an alien sex lizard planet. And with Sex Lizard planet, where Krystal crashes in , it presents a believable context on how the game utilizes a nice environment that makes sense in relation to the choices the player gets with Krystal perhaps trying out the horny lizard way.
On that, the animations and choices are nice, and the lewdness is definitely a good slow burner. But for so long we've only had maybe 4 characters to really derive all that from with a couple of side characters testing the waters a bit without any true to form corruption-acceptance on Krystal's side. I had been hoping for so long to get to that point, but we're still at the hard 75% when it comes to how Krystal responds to being more sexual/corrupted in the game. Hell, you can really only have actual sex with one character on this planet, which is nice since it trains Krystal on that path if you as a player so desire, but that's pretty much it with everyone else just derives the second/third basers, but never the homerun.
And that's about it. Gameplay is asking people in a rather slow moving, stuttered manner of what you can do for the village, then do said quests or fail them (at least the majority of them) for lewds. The failing part is played with nicely rather than it being presented in a tacky way, but either way that's what the majority of the game is about in this current version (0.7.5).
Some bugs or things that get in the way of this game as that there is just a walk function for Krystal that makes maneuvering a painful thing to chug through. Once you learn the map, it's all you're ever going to be using as fast traveling is a must in this game, rather than just casually strolling to get to one scene transition to the next. Alongside that this game gives me a rather noticeable stutter every time I move, dunno if that's on my end or a common problem. But the stutter doesn't get too much in the way when it comes to animations, more so revealing itself in level transitions or just walking.
But, well, after having my eye on this for close to 2 years, maybe even 3, I can't really recommend this fully. It's a bit of a concern considering that the years of development should reflect means of content, and when you play the current build of this, get ready to wait another 2 years for something actually "new" to come around. I can say that it feels as though the game got off the ground a year ago, maybe a year and a half, and the state that it's in currently feels as such, but that's not the case. It's been close to 4~ now, and I still feel as though I'm in the tutorial area, then some free roaming, and then the teasing of the first real quest in actually figuring out what's happening. Almost like a beefy test build stuck in limbo.
Overall I would venture to say that this game is a true 5/5 gem if it ever gets off the ground. They laid groundwork, they laid good structures with characters to make Krystal more corrupted in a logical manner, and they got great animations. But it still feels so early as a game in many ways despite the years of development. Overall 3/5, willing to change it somewhere down the line as despite the snails pace, when I do come back to the game it does surprise me on how much they added, but as said, it then goes back into hibernation for an indiscernible amount of time.
Edit (4th of July 2019): One thing I forgot to mention that is brought up here and there throughout the thread, is that the gameplay time is sometimes presented in a beefy manner for an H-Game. Such as some people investing 6 hours or more into it, and maybe reading further in this thread you can understand why, there is a sizeable grind to this game. The grind is tied to the quests that include repeatable good looking, but overall slow scenes in trying to push the ticks further up, such as lust, submissiveness (the slowest grind with the amount of scenes present), and respect. Just wanted to mention this to those that hate or love a grind that includes watching the same scenes over and over again for the promise of more lewds.
