Can this be played without playing the other 2 games?

Yes, you can play this one without problems. Majority of the time the story follows new characters that never appeared in the old games. And the titular Opala is a side character at best.
The storyline connection between this one and other games is mostly background noise. 90% of the playtime you will neither see nor hear about other games' events.

BUT. Since this one is not finished, and looks like will not get finished any time soon - you might as well play the other two games first.

There's no point in waiting so long for updates that mostly contain side content. I think Gabe does it on purpose, otherwise this game would be finished.

Save editing. There's several different methods. Easiest one is using save editor online.

Weird, thought I responded to this earlier. Uh so what I wanted to say is why don't you try going to the save crystal chamber, find Illumi and ask her for directions. Best way to find your way.

Perhaps it's a lack of motivation. As we know, the creator works on one series for too long. Maybe the only cure is to end the series and start a completely new one.

Lots of creators burn out after a long time..

Im struggling with the Tavern wench drinking game. When you first find out about it in Brightstone tavern, the game doesn't seem to interact properly. I can move between the cups at the top of the screen but non of the keyboard inputs seem to do anything except make a weird sound (vaguely like a *gulp*).

Have I fucked up while installing or something? Or am i missing something?

Are you still getting the point for emptying the mug and just the full mug icon isn't changing to the empty mug icon?

You're a genius man, but can you help me, I lost my save old save when I entered the prestige ranch for the first time, can you tell me which of these saves I should use to get closer to that part?

I think the first iron spire is after kahr, so that part it's already done.I dont think there's any save before that because i had side stuff to complete until that point. You can try to play the story until that point and switch to that save, whitout exploration shouldn't take too much time since the game have more side stuff than story u.u
