OG larry (1-7) barely had any sex in it. Al had nothing to do with MCL and it was a terrible game.

That was the first question I asked myself about this one. Was Al Lowe involved? Nope. Not even going to bother. Al's humor made those games what they were.

The Leisure Suit Larry games were not meant to be sexy games...they were meant to be funny games about a loser trying to get laid.

No offense, but your post is all kinds of hilarious considering the actual "good Ol' Larry games" were exactly like that, blue balls galore with lots and lots of teasing and dirty jokes but never really getting to score.
Magna Cum Laude, at the time, was widely panned for missing the humor and artstyle of the originals and being just a dumb sex game for horny teens.

I played Larry 7 back then, liked it.
I played Wet Dreams Don't Dry too and it was ... mediocre. The humor was too forced in my opinion although they really tried. And the quality wasn't on par with the genre either.

Oh well.
