Something makes me wonder. Unless I'm grossly misremembering, it seemed pretty clear that Sensei had some kind of inappropriate relationship with Ami's mother, his brother's wife if I recall correctly?
Now I'm not sure of the timelines here, but is it possible that Ami is actually his own daughter? Is this something that has been proposed or discussed previously? I'm curious if there's something that invalidates that possibility. It would certainly give some context as to why the universe so violently rejects making her call you daddy, but not mommy...

maybe it's because she lost her father in the accident? Having her call Sensei daddy after something like that happened is outright bogus dude

Well yes, that's the obvious reason, but her mother also died in the accident but that doesn't trigger anything IIRC, which is why I mentioned it. Obviously, making her call you "daddy" is fucked up, enough to warrant the happy scene on its own, like making Haruka call you husband, but I just can't help but wonder.
I'm actually quite okay with not having that sort of relationship with Rin...
she's a mess.

I am looking forward to when miku gets into tojo ramen and the power goes out
but damn selebus put way to many 4th wall breaks in this update... I think every event had at least 2 except 2 of them. Doesn't really bother me much, just constant breaks in immersion is kind of off-putting. lessened the impact of what rin did when molly was breaking the 4th wall so many times right before it.
4th wall breaks just give me emotional de-investment which then made something that would normal be a major emotional whiplash for me way less impactful.

No, you're not misremembering. They still kinda sorta close.
I think I do remember someone talking about this, but there just not enough to go off of.
A lot of girls in this game have pretty apparent daddy issues. Also, Ami just might not have had as good relationship with her mom. Or maybe, since she looks exactly her mother, she feels like she still close to her, metaphorically speaking.
