The English Patient was the worst film of 1996, by far, yet somehow it won nine Academy Awards. It was the most overrated wasted of time in the history of everything. 54 days in, I've decided this game has surpassed it as the most overrated waste of time in the history of everything. Everyone who left a review with more than one star owes me money.

Also, is Sakakibara a common Japanese surname.
I just learnt about the Kobe murders and wonder if there may be something intentional in the use of that name here or just coincidence.

Problem isn't in attentions span. If you are playing from early builds there is little problem, but imagine yourself as a new player(or if you are lost your saves with old laptop death)... Game will turn from "a bit grindy" VN to Clicker Simulator, especially early on, when some character give 1 (ONE, just f-king ONE!!!) point of love per week. And there is 20-30 of them or is it more now? And if you want to grind lust for missable events? Ohohoho... Double amount of grind. Or some events require to know exact day, time and place to trigger and without them progress is blocked and there is a lot of such choke points because of partial form of game release.

Right now for new player it is hours of cross-cheking wiki for event which will progress story and very VERY boring grind for love\lust.

Not very common but not too uncommon (shit answer, I know)

But, I am going to take a wild guess and say yes this might be where Sel got the inspiration. Kanji for surname Sakakibara is most likely 榊原 due to its samurai origin. However, in the case of Kobe murder, the murderer wrote his alias Sakakibara intentionally as 酒鬼薔薇 in a full blown chuunibyou manner. A word-by-word direct translation to that alias is alcoholic rose (or rose of alcoholic depending on how poetic you want to be), and this alone fits Sara’s character all too goddamn well even before thinking about whether this inspiration extends to Shota’s death or not.

Edit: ok, the most word by word translate would actually be like “sake-oni-bara”, thus “liquor-ghost/demon-rose”. I in fact took the liberty of interpreting the sake-oni part as alcoholic.

Well, I suppose that answers my question perfectly.
Cheers.

Anyone here would recommend the guide mod to avoid the big pitfalls, text skip can alleviate the worst of the grinding. And we've had someone give the game a decent go with AutoVN and it seems to work if all the grind must be skipped.

Other than that, you can't even reach chapter 1.5 until day 102. Man gave up during the tutorial portion of the longest VN, and then insisted all the reviews must be bullshit, nah fuck em. They can have a instant gratification wank.

When will we actually start making progress with Yumi?!
When will she become OUR princess?
You're at chapter 1 or something right? 0.48 had some Yumi events in them so you might end this with the smallest amount of emotional blue balls if you manage to get here.

No, I've finished the game.
I am just replaying it since I haven't played since 0.44 or 0.45.
Last event I remember was Io's green route.

But this gives me hope, maybe one day... one day we'll be on the good terms with Yumi, while Noriko is schlicking off in the background watching us.
