No, just a joke. She was probably seeing the same episode that she saw as a kid. Tsukasa was probably seeing this one though.

I completely agree with all of this, Tsubasa doesn't know what she's doing.
She thinks she has leverage on Akira, but how many deities are interested in him to actually let her cause harm?
The truth is that there is no leverage, nobody can do anything to him, someone or something will happen that will make everything go away.
He should've been fired ages ago but somehow didn't, he has so many witnesses about him sleeping with his students and still nothing came out of it...
He somehow survived a "car crash" that took out the world itself, but not him?

I think Tsubasa is trying to give her daughters experience dealing with a manipulative person who wants to take advantage of them, and Akira is kind of a safe one, he doesn't want more than sex, and he is relatively good to the girls.

Okkkkkkk welp this was sudden.I finished all the available content.I was legit wondering "Why is no event triggering".Ig now its time for me to replay events and start lore fagging.How nice.
Since this will take a while and will involve actual theory crafting and whatnot,my plan is this.I will replay all the events,translate whatever i need and then try and piece things together.AFTER i do all of that ill come here and present my theories and you guys can rip them to shreds.Sounds fun am i right?

Just keep in mind that next update is soon and we might get new information, could either help or break whatever ongoing theories are already around.. or could be completely irrelevant, depends on Sel's mood I guess.

Religious elements tend to focus around christian symbolism, presumably because of Akira's family. Bible quotes, crosses, angels, general moralism around sin, even the notion of 3 gods being 1. One could argue that the eternal struggle between light and dark with humanity being the rope in between them is from Manichaeism, but that has been since incorporated into christianity so I guess it's nitpicking. That would be the same for most of the random elements that are thrown around.
Occult elements are hard to pinpoint because what is presented doesn't necessarily refer to any specific occult element rather than having an occult feel to it. "The old one" for instance (and even NAO), could simply be Selebus' creation, rather than a Lovecraftian reference. Same goes for the sakura trees and the world itself - and to a larger extent, things like wires, semen and voices in your head seem to be very much a Selebus "creation" rather than a specific reference to something. Of those there are countless, and for an example of what I mean: You could find numerous references of secrets hidden in the wind or in the voice of cicadas in occult literature, but to say Selebus is making a direct reference to one of them would be forcing the point imo. It doesn't seem to be the case.
There is also random stuff that he throws in that I don't think merit a real analysis. You could argue that Flora, the Emissary of Pegasus, the Council of Plants, the Untitled tv show, and so on, have counterparts in movie and literature culture as a whole. But to each their own in terms of what to delve into.
You haven't asked, but it is important to note that although there aren't many specific occult references, there are many poetry ones. Those tend to be blatant enough that you'd recognize them though, so if anything sounds like classic poetry to you there is a likely chance Selebus is referencing something.
There are a few references to architectural landmarks, paintings, movies and videogames too - but those are in the extreme minority. Strangely enough, I don't remember many references to literature novels though (I can only recall "where the sidewalk ends", but even that is not exactly classic literature, as he tends to use classic poetry). I guess Akira's deal really was poetry...

Omfg! I just had the craziest revelation just now! Remember that post that confirmed Tsubasa was more important than we give her credit for? Well I'm pretty sure she's literally the narrator at the end of the first Beach Vacation. Just look:
The fact she repeats the same questions? The tree reference just a few sentences later (which may or may not be about the sakura at her manor)? At the very least, this is worth looking into. Assuming no one has already pointed this out.

well, fuck. First of all, congratulations on figuring that out. But the repercussions of Tsubasa being the narrator for "see you in the morning" would be astounding (cause that's an entire event that I went through thinking about Tsubasa narrating and it was odd, to say the least, cause there's a lot of stuff there - like the narrator addressing Rin and having her hear the clocks for instance). Well, the name of the Tsubasa event is "playing god" - which could be a nod to her "playing it" instead of being it, and Akira makes a comparison between her and Nodoka (another character that is suspected of hearing the world itself).
I think it's more likely that the narrator for "see you in the morning" is also related to the world itself. Maybe both Nodoka and Tsubasa can hear it, and as Akira puts it, each of them have a different approach to it. One wants to break everything, the other wants to guide them in a better path. Both are tugging the strings though, through information/insight of what they're capable of hearing.
Now, who could be narrating it that would be heard by Tsubasa/related to the tree I have no idea either.
