The game itself is working for me just fine, but it crashes when I try to view the bonus animation, so as long as you avoid doing that, you should be fine to use the update.

Well it's a sunday and it starts with Ayane and Ami so maybe check the script files for chap4, ayane, and ami to see if the trigger requires something you somehow missed?
If you haven't already, cycle through to the next Sunday. That worked for me.
From what I've seen, Computer Scientists and Software Engineers are just useful terms to the people who use them, rather than linguists outside of their circles. Computer Scientists are the ones creating and improving algorithims to encode video at faster rates and other technical advances. But their successes don't produce programs that do useful work on their own.
