Just to also give my two cents to the Otoha discussion (not that anyone asked):
I think it's a culmination of all the arguments brought forth so far.
Otoha is neither a psychopath, nor an angel. She isn't fully bad, but she certainly isn't good either, neither dark nor light. Which ultimately lands her pretty much in the middle at grey. Which is probably the blandest color there is.
There is a lot of arguments for hating Otoha, she did a lot of shady and unnecessarily selfish stuff - definitely. I will respect anyone's opinion for disliking her solely based on her past actions.
However, I also support the argument that her misdemeanors at least also gave her somewhat of a character. After all, she is actually the most realistic teenager out of all the girls so far.
Think about it, we have girls that (think they) talk to gods, we have heiresses of multibillion companies, we have severely abused and traumatized girls, girls that have severe depression or extreme issues with self confidence, girls that have lived millions of years and a girl that wants to be violently fucked ber her uncle who actually is her Dad.
Out of all of these individuals, I personally think, Otoha is the most "normal" one, as in, she acts the most like someone you and me would probably know in real life, at least from back in high school times.
That can of course be interpreted as being very forgettable and boring, but I see it as being a nice representation of normalcy, of an average girl, doing things that average girls do.
She is relatively calm and collected compared to most girls, she has typical hobbies that fit her age, she is facing issues that are common in her stage in life and she has flaws. Yes, she is lying, she has been manipulative, she has done selfish things and she seems constantly indecisive and unsure what to do. But almost all teenagers do exactly that.
But she did none of those things to a comically evil level, unlike someone like Nodoka or Ami. Some people even brought up that other characters did similarly heinous deeds, yet are not treated as harshly as Otoha is.
And I think it comes down to her being "too normal" to cover for her shortcomings, as she rarely does anything noteworthy enough to distract from those actions. She ultimately just wants to be left alone and do her thing.
At the end of the day, I am convinced that most of us here, if thrown into the universe of LiL, would turn out to be an 'Otoha'. Meaning, we would most likely not have any extremely outer-worldly or traumatic backstory, no crazily unusual character traits, just a pretty average person with maybe a bit of perverted tendencies here and there, but nothing too dramatic.
Thinking of it that way, I feel like I can relate to Otoha probably the most out of all the girls in this game. So what if you are relatively boring in comparison? It does not make you a bad person or unworthy of attention.
Also her butt is nice.
