I think this was the most defining moment for me to keep on being invested in the game at all.
The event, plus the song/bgm, had the most impact on me in this game yet.
It's one of the reasons i still to this day believe, that there must be some kind of human being behind the Sel persona, yet, a very hurt/damaged one.
That being said, there is a Japanese free for all song database, founded by the guy(s) who made the "Shining Star" song, for people to download (afair), and it might come sorted, to choose after your liking. Like: (Bar songs, love songs or whatever. If you get what i mean.)
But don't get me wrong. The day we get some kind of S.O. IRL revelation, don't color me surprised.
I said this more than once. This all might be, after all, a very obfuscated version of Sel's life/feelings.
Forgive me, I'm not the one the question was addressed to, but I want to say that at least 90% of the time, my favorite character is whoever appeared in the last scene I read.

I’m aware, yeah, though only because of people pointing it out to me that are way more impressive with lore stuff than I am; I never would have noticed on my own.
I wasn’t trying to say that the game doesn’t think it’s important, just that sometimes I get the feeling WE might think it’s too important. Like, in a possessive way, kinda. Sorta how a lot of H games go out of their way to make sure the player knows she is a virgin because of insecurity things.
EDIT: In fact, thinking about how the game is partly a commentary on H games in general, the importance on virginity to the plot is likely a deliberate shot at this sort of thing.

Every now and then I get the idea that the f95zone freakout was a bit Sel had to commit to, and so is the openly hostile persona he's portraying, while simultaneously begging for money and bemoaning that his openly hostile game with very dark and unpopular topics doesn't have mainstream appeal and funding. Why he added cheats to his game only to punish people for using them by locking them out of the cheats and deleting any progress they made using them.
But like, he's still acting like a dickhead at the end of the day. And the 'art' that might make all of it worth it ain't done yet, so there's just a dickhead on the scales.
