Do you think moving my latest save over would "Corrupt" the clean version with whatever happened to screw up the version from above? Thanks!
A save would not corrupt your game in any way other than possibly not load itself (the save) in case it was made on a system with mods that you do not currently have. And on the subject of the latest version, it's usually a good idea to download the entire thing again every 6 or so updates. It's not necessary, but a possibility if you're having too many issues.
Guys I can't get the game to run anymore. Even my old version 0.49 won't load.. It just sits in Task Manager under Background Processes.
edit: I have no mods - running on clean download. Other RenPy games work.
What is likely to work is for you to download the whole thing again, because since other renpy games work, the issue could be something that got corrupted. Just backup your saves, and do not overwrite - but test the new files in a separate location first.
To help with this, you'd have to think about when it stopped working. Was it after changing files? Or was it out of nowhere? The first would suggest an issue with the files getting corrupted, and the second that something changed in your system (which could be fixed by updating drivers and such).
