So, probably no one cares but fuck it. So I've gotten further and I feel scared of raising the lust stat on anyone. It almost feels like the game doesn't want me to with some of the... interesting scenes that occur at certain times. And it also leaves me kind of confused about what the message is meant to be, to horny them or not?
I think I would feel bad actually using the game mechanics that are given to me as the player controlling an avatar who's controlling someone else. Is that the point?
I'm genuinely conflicted by this game and I'm not sure what to think about it. Some of the scares are kinda cheap and even though there was a flashing lights warning at the start of the game I'm almost certain one of those scares were made specifically to cause problems. The writing so far is... interesting, it seems to vary somewhat in quality? but given what the game does already I'm sure that's intentional. or it's just one of those common products of updating and adding to a game over time which... might add to it?
I'm not sure what I've even just written, literally all I've done today is play this game for maybe 10 hours probably more, no breaks at all, I'm very hungry and tired so all I see when I even try to look at what I've written is blurred to the point of it being a blank page.

If you saw the red-green path discussion earlier, you should know a bunch of scenes are locked behind raising lust high enough. Get the guide mod.
That one could be a joke, but there's at least one scene with here where she specifically mentions "but I don't know why" as if she's surprised she's making some decision

Chapter One is uneven. After Chapter Two was completed, the dev went back and reworked much of the first chapter, especially in the first half (up to the beach trip series). He didn't rewrite everything, he reviewed each event, and if he didn't like the writing, he re-did it. Some things were changed entirley, some were changed slightly, and the art was redone across the board. So yeah, the writing in chapter one is alternating between "guy who just started working on this" and "Same buy, but with two more years of planning and experience under his belt"
The game is a deconstruction of the harem genre. The discomfort is intentional. The bad vibe you're getting from Sensei is intentional. You're playing a deconstruction and subversion of the harem genre, not an actual harem game.

Playing a lewd VN for 10 hours straight and then complaining about the writing consistency is such Molly behavior.
But in all seriousness, take a break. The writing is quite consistently good, especially after the chapter 1 rework. It's just that one has to get used to Sel's style of writing and understand that there are various narrators and that they might clash in their messages and tone. I think Moonflare once summarized it well, topics and atmosphere switch a lot depending on which narrator/god is currently at the steering wheel.

Ami melting scene and The Room with Clocks is the most revoltings events in the whole game imo. I literally wanted to puke after pushing to The Room with Clocks on my first day. So yeah I pity every player who has or shall suffer from it. I think Sel was just doing to make beginning radical to create gimmicks. It wasn't that repulsing before remake of Chapter 1 as far as I know.
Though I'd say you'll inevitably miss them if you keep playing. Those haunting first feelings never came back later for me. Good luck, you will get used to and see the truth behind them.

I would say Yumi but I still maintain I would rather see her hugged than fucked. So I'll have to choose someone else.
Thinking of someone else:
-Crazy Nodoka comes to mind far more immediately than I would like.
-Then Maki, Hot, is fun, I like her long hair with blue bow far too much, (and will call you old sport if you want).

So maybe Ami has an ability that lets her get fragmented visions of possibly both the past and present when she closes her eyes? (what she calls nightvision). It would be a sort of Nodoka's fragmented memories, just to a much higher degree. That would explain her "knowing" everything and not knowing it at the same time, since even the things she "knows" would amount to visions born of dreams, and maybe she either doubts them or straight up chooses to ignore them as born of lunacy.
Aditionally, have we have ruled that the old school is definitely out of Kumon-mi? And if so, is the old school the school not only of Sara, but also of the cast from the previous game? It would make sense that it wouldn't be in Kumon-mi, since they don't know what Kumon-mi is. This is from the later part of the event, and maybe the place Maya goes from time to time is there, since that's where she takes Akira? Why and how Maya is able to go somewhere out of Kumon-mi at will is a big question though. As is a big question to what alt Maya Prime did when Ayane and Yumi got to the roof to meet with HOPE the peerless. Maybe Maya's keeping something there? But the boxes are under the school, so what?
