I believe someone has discussed on it but Ami's madness seems to be driven by ulterior forces.
Just before she got broken, she claimed that it's the Worm inside make her doing things.
The Worm she refers here is probably the voice (of God? Sekai?) she seems to hear all the time. And also "feeding the worm" is a phase often narrated by Akira when he did something morally incorrgible. Recall that Pareidolia often said that Akira kept making him grow since childhood.
Since I refused to acknowledge my heartwarming niece in the beginning was a pretender, It seems like Ami slowly gave in the voice inside of her in Chapter 3. Yes Ami had many evocative and insinuating lines before that made me confused but we can leave it later. I remember Ami kept saying she heard stuff in winter. The situation definitely accelerated after she discovered Sekai's belongings in attic and account of User 1 was finally logged (by Pareidolia I'm very sure) in Somnambula. And she had again eyes of 今 in Light of Last Summer. I should have assumed some God took control over her long before...
But Akira is taking care of her, despite how heavy-handed it is as Ami once mocked. She didn't die of malnutrition and he started to clean the house, do laundry and wash her body.He still decided to be better and grow in a clumsy way for sake of her after all this, if only he could do it sooner...
Anyway the start of Chapter 4 is very engaging and depressing but I'm keeping my hope here. Gonna keep struggling and growing... or nothing falls but me.
I unfortunately haven't been able to catch up with all posts following 0.48 yet. However, this seems relevant to the previous post, and it's something I haven't seen discussed yet (regarding the worm):
Although not enough to trace a proper statement, it does make me wonder about the possibility of whether 1. Sekai is an unwilling participant in Akira's infection by the remains of herself, or even 2. Akira himself (in a fragmented state) is trying his best to protect the current Akira from its infection as well.
There is not enough to go either way, but I think it's an interesting idea that meshes well with the topic of overall influence the characters had on one another (infection), which would double if we take the "reset" as attempts at trying to clear the slate until being able to cure themselves (ascension).
I hope everyone in the lilcord who voted for this crap over an update next month regrets it. Too bad we will never know since they are all sycophants who would never criticize their dear leader.
I know conspiracy theories surrounding this game are looked down upon, but isn't it possible he knew he couldn't get the update out on time, so he just 'bought' an extra month to release banked art and crap he had laying around? And the polls just happen to beg for whatever he had?

As funny as it would be, I don't think so. Selebus has always been in time to update just a month. But even if you're right... you're wrong because the next update will be a fan-created one as well. I mean, the next Dorm Wars will be based on fan suggestions, not his ideas.

Quite the opposite actually. If Sel can't get an update out he'll send out a notice. He also started working on the ff content the day before the calender dropped for it. I only remeber this becuase he posting previews of the young sensei event and talking about how he knocked out all the animations for the what if polls before they were open for voting.
There wasn't even alot of moments i could screen cap as reaction images albeit a minor handful. So yeah, one of the better ones. I guess there's also the invite animations and shit cus i need to farm out Molly/Imani Lust, I tend to just do those legit so if anyone knows the specific timings for those events i can just mash through lol. I feel like i also need more Karin/Tsubasa affection. ANYWAY. Good patch/10
I mean if friday night happens without an event you farm imani lust. Otherwise do molly. You can't farm Karin for like another year at this point unless she's just become really important, which I doubt. Probably do need to grind some Tsubasa sooner rather than later. She's also night only iirc.

Some days of the fest are total gimmies like Miku's music track (Unless he's so incompetent that he never thought about the music at all to this point and then went to japanese music youtube or something and started listening to every piece of music ever until he found something that fit, he likely found it months / years ago), but other days like the animations, the words for the animations and the sensei story, the return of the huggy boy, and the developer commentaries are the normal levels of work. If the care packages were easy to do he wouldn't have quit making and selling them.
He's probably got a bunch of banked ideas, but he wouldn't have turned them into content years ago and kept them for release. Once he started improving his lighting from chapter 2 and before, he would have invalidated all of the saved animations he had and learned from it. (Unless someone has an example of a scene with obviously older lighting compared to what was releasing around the same time)
If he ever gets around to that loli maya scene that keeps reappearing, I imagine it's going to be replaced with a newer updated version. And we'll see if he leaves the maya dorm event that it first appeared in while he's at it.

I have to wonder if these worms are the same. I also have to wonder if it's like a parasite inside all of the characters. Maybe even related to the thing that "possessed" Tsuneyo last update, or simply related to questionable memories.

I want to reply to the Ami/worm conversation, but I started writing up this post earlier in the day so I'm finishing it first.
Starting with my overall thoughts on 0.48, since I haven't shared them yet: I really loved this update, I think it's my favorite to come out since I finished my first playthrough (0.41 and on). Of course I'm a sucker for the lore and we got a lot of it, but at the same time all of the events had incredibly engaging character-driven interactions. Nothing felt like filler, and there were so many great moments: Sensei being there for Yumi in exactly the way she needed, Karin confiding in Kirin about how weak she feels, Kirin trying to be a good sister and actually feeling shame for lusting after Karin, Maki and learning to drive, sobriety coach Rika, Yasu licking a taco, etc etc.
An overarching theme of the update was Sensei opening up, both in accepting his own feelings and in being more truthful in his interactions with others. I really enjoyed how this was shown visually with how expressive Sensei's face was in almost all of the events.
Because Sensei was so much more open overall, the moments where he remained stone-faced were a sharp contrast - in particular, the things he did and didn't say to Uta.
So, are there actually at least 4 Sekais walking around, probably more?
One inside Kaori, one besides Ami, two with Akira based on the latest Maki event, maybe a different one fucking around with Yasu and Tsuneyo.
