I think the update will be entertaining (in the sense that I expect a lot of funny situations). If that is good, I guess it depends on people's expectations after these past few months. Maya having a date on her birthday has become a joke that I can hardly laugh about now, poor girl (gonna have to wait half a year at this pace).
Personally, having a laugh is not quite what I'm needing most after the FanFest, whose whole point was to entertain. But I made my peace with it, I'm just going to try to enjoy it as much as I can.

That's what happened in the first Nodokathon too. A event for every...event, with mild cutaways to Akira and Nu Maya at the apartment (Doorway, table, bed)
It's definitely Koikatsu, not sure if any specific flavor of it.

Oh looks like a big update, nice to see after "Fanfest", even if the content of this update might not be what everyone's looking forward to.
I forget, are the bonus animations the repeatable ones or ones you just find in the computer?

The bonus animations are the non-canon ones you access from the computer.
back then when I had no idea what renpy games are other DDLC then I tried to find games of the similar genre and I found the temu version of that game with more unfriendly flashes that may potentially blind you
