Yeah, I made a patch that fixes this, along with other typographical errors. You can get it from this post. It's bundled with another patch that "fixes" replays but you can delete that if you don't want it.
There is still a lot to discover about se- I mean, the world, like if Maya is a wish why did it take 8 years for the world to break, why are the gods represented by Sekai, Nozomu, Pareidolia and Tsuneyo's father, playing around in the world.
And if Maya is a wish, why is Himawari not a wish too, since she didn't answer if Ayane still had a wish, that can mean Ayane still has a wish, or that Himawari is her wish.
I particularly can't trust in Himawari just yet, the world she showed was a little too perfect, saying showing it was an accident is a little sus, and the Maya flash in one of the scenes, makes me think this was a memory with Maya manipulated to show Ayane instead.
I am more than just the previews guy! The "detective" in my name is more than just for show . I just rarely do analysis because thinking about this game for more than a couple of minutes gives me a headache.

Why it happens? I don't know what it doesn't special for Ami because according to Himawari, cloning happens sometimes including Futaba.
But why Futaba? Is it only a visual exposition to show cloning exists. If not why Futaba? Our boring, passive, insecure, kind, girl-- who sometimes totally uncharacteristically crashes out. Which according to Himawari, an important thing.
I think both Sekai's and Nodoka's writing carry some kind of an "infection" that causes distruption between the world and the character who reads it. I don't remember the exact chapter but when Ami reads hear poem to Sensei, he got into a blackout.
We know Nodoka gets crazy in her writing phase and can get outside the city, sekai was constantly writing in her last year (though they were bad according to Nodoka)
Since Selebus made some very important characters to be poets (Sekai, Ami, Akira) and always tries use some poem in very events, i expect we will get some lore information from future Ami updates.
Hey, even if she's too pure to actually do any dirty stuff with, there's no reason we can't have a good ol' shower mishap, or an accidental walk-in during self-love time, or who knows? Maybe she turns out to be into wholesome, innocent, skinny dipping?

I like the idea of writing being an infection here but I think it's more metaphorical rather than literal, in the sense that writing can change people's perspective or emotional state and spread naturally. Ami sort of talks about this when Niki asks her about her mother and she talks about how Sekai had a unique way of thinking and could sway with her words so easily.
I'm not disregarding the infection idea mind, I can see it, but I was pondering Futaba's crashouts myself earlier so I wanted a reason to think out loud lol
That being said, with what we now know, she kind of has to be back by the start of Chapter 5, right? I expect they'll break out of her wish world before the dark route (hence the changed rules) and certainly before the purity routes, and I don't see how we can get closure on her world if she isn't around.
One can only hope, otherwise I don't see us having enough time to hit plot points that have been hinted at in the past. I'm really hoping her purity route is just her being able to enjoy herself instead of having all of her backstory explained there.
