Great game it might be not for everyone but if you like netorare/netorase genre this game is for you, good renders and animated sex scenes, the writing is ok for what it is , I love what has been accomplished so far and can't wait for future updates.

I couldn't get a feel from the reviews, so I gave it a try. Writing is not great. Animations are poor (clicking through scenes). The premise might be good, but this is not a good example. Renders are nice, +1 star.

Generic HS game, in itself it's not a bad thing, but poor cheesy writing, boneless MC aka "disgusting wet blanket" with cast of 1,5-D characters, ~good HS models with 'meh' to 'eh' animations, bugs and e-t-c.

Story - 1,5/5. It's so dumb, I had some good laughs. Wasn't intentional tho.
Choices - 2.5/5. Sometimes you can chose do or do not, this and that.
Gameplay - 3/5. VN.
Characters - 1,5/5. Pretty one-dimensional. You won't care about them.
Models/animations - 2,2/5. It's HS. They're decent. I'm really surprised how okay they look (even these f clowns)
Grammar - 3/5. Eh, whatever.

This game is incredibly engaging, it has a way of drawing you in and making you feel as though you're living out the protagonist's life. I recommend this game to anyone who feels like adult game should focus on immersiveness. Enjoyed it alot!

Underrated. Great scenes. Good story so far. Realistic bodies. Animations are perfect. Really was hoping for more mom/son action but I understand the story of MC and his girlfriend is the main story. Have cranked my hog to this too many times to count. Love the father in law story.

It doesn't feel like a game. Choices are an illusion. It's basically "do you want path A or path B", that's your only choice. Then you are locked. For example, when the blonde girl tells the MC about girlfriend cheating, you could have the choice to believe it or not, with some consequences like confronting the GF, fucking the blonde girl and starting a romance with her, seeking other girls like Queen, being in denial and blind to that, but the game without real choices does it for you. More like a kinetic novel.

I don't feel like writing a long review I'll just say last 3-4 reviews have been pretty accurate (and the ones with 1-2 stars are flat out laughable from a nonbiased standpoint), and that Ariana and Pamela some of the best heroines and side charas I've seen for this genre in a while. Personally tho think we need some more 3some content between and/or Rose and a Pure Cheating route.

SUMMARY
A game that fulfills what it proposes, focused on different routes, of which the greatest focus is on the NTR side, except for one of those routes, which is pure vanilla.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
The personalities of the characters change depending on the route you are playing.

GAME'S CONTENT
Very good amount of content on each route, with a lot of variety in the scenes that do not repeat each other in the different routes.

RENDER QUALITY
Good quality of the renders, the female characters are very hot, especially the MC's girlfriend.

SUGGESTION
A suggestion could be that at some point all the scenes that could not be animated yet can be animated in the future.

CONCLUSSION
For being the developer's first game, it's a very good start. When he gets more experience and better equipment, we'll see better quality content from Sieglinnde. Keep up the good work!!!

I really liked what author is writing, but the way he write it drags it down.
It shows how inexperienced he is.
Transitions between scenes - and even between different lines of dialogues - are jarring.
Scenes are rushed, tumbling through without any flow.
Some promised plot-points just vanish into thin air. Like Quinn - where did she go? She's a freaking poster girl for Chapter 2, for god's sake...

Though it's still way better then when same inexperienced authors dragging the scenes forever without any tension or flow - because, you know, they're inexperienced.
So I can't really fault author for it too much. He's doing what he can.

But the story itself is great.
I played 3 out of 4 routes - except vanilla. And believe me if I say I rarely play more then 1 route.
All 3 was very hot and quite different.

I started vanilla, but with Quinn just vanishing and never mentioned in other 3 routes - it just sapped any drama or interest from this one. She was set-upped as a love rival, but alas.
Now I don't even know what this route is supposed to be about - except for vanilla sex with your single girlfriend over and over again...
What's the 'promise' there?

But I focus too much on the negatives.
Want to reiterate:
I almost never play more then 1 route even in the best games. So yeah, I really want the author to continue.

...And maybe his writing skills'll become better with the practice too.

Let the Nightshine In is a game that does what It promises very well as long as you can read between the lines (or the devs statements in the comment section...): in other words dont expect 100% vanilla nor sharing in any route. But as I mentioned, this does not come out of nowhere, there are 4 routes and every route clearly demonstrates what the characters are capable of decision wise.

In Vanilla route, Ariana is a relatively good girlfriend, almost the ideal one could even say. But she is still flirty and sexual, the undertones of some scenes show that if you never intervene then she would eventually step out and slip up. This is not to say Ariana is planning to fuck a guy at every twist and turn and you have to prevent it at every twist and turn, its more so that she thinks she can be loyal regardless of how she comes off, but if you're neglectful then she would eventually give in with so much constant temptations. Whether it is justifiable or not is not the point here, the actual point is one of the main themes of the game: not everything is black and white, people can make mistakes and things can easily escalate. So if you follow the obvious choices one would take as a boyfriend then you will have a pure romance route where Ariana might not be perfect but is still faithful.

Then there's the Sharing routes. And to be direct: there is some non optional NTR here. LTNSI breaks the common narrative of "escalation from NTRS into pure NTR!" which happens in almost all NTRS games, instead to not spoil too much, this route mixes cuckoldry, cheating and sharing all into one, but in a fashion where its trying to create its own style/genre without being a copypaste of the rest. Ariana makes mistakes, but is made clear that she indeed still loves the MC, which brings us to an option of making the Sharing route a more light hearted one (albeit with a mix of cuckoldry and sharing) and a NTR-"Sharing" one... Which its name is obvious what it entails, this is essentially a route which just had the idea of Sharing as a starting point but is now essentially a NTR route.

True NTR route... Is exactly what its name entails. If youre a NTR lover you will likely love this one since its fairly straightforward, the most classic in narrative, and gives us most action from Pamela who competes for title of hottest girl in the game (in my opinion and that of a decent portion of this games fans, but who knows, maybe you're more a Rose guy, or Mallory, etc, to each their own at the end of the day). Personally I believe there should be a Pure Cheating route since I feel the narrative tropes employed in this route takes a bit of agency out of character choices, and the character doing something 100% out of their own fault has more weight for shady plots like cheating and NTR ones, but thats more so a personal issue, the route is not bad and like I mentioned will be very likable to a good deal NTR fans.

Some people might say the characters seem inconsistent, but thats further from the truth. I'd say they are "consistent in their inconsistency" - which might sound like gibberish without context so let me explain. As mentioned the game manages the themes of ambiguous morality, propensity of mistakes, and that relationships are never perfect/ups and downs. In other words the story is about humans: imperfect beings with different point of views which are molded by circumstance.

You will never get an Ariana or MC that act like if it was impossible for anyone else besides their partner to be interesting. You will never get an Ariana or MC which has absolutely 0 doubts about their actions. You will never get an Ariana or MC who have 0 thoughts about their SO, even if they get lost in the heat of pure pleasure for a moment, they will expose the feelings they have related to them soon after.
In Vanilla route you will get a more romantic Ariana who shows she still has propensity to flirt even if she doesnt actually plan to fully go through with it, in NTR-Sharing and True NTR you will see how Ariana constantly has thoughts about what her actions entail and how she still has a special place for MC and thoughts about how she should/could be faithful, in Sharing route we see how Ariana can take choices which sway to either side and she is willing to gamble everything on. All routes show an overarching characterization, which is why these people are not one dimensional, they are "inconsistent": because they are constantly reflecting on their desires and it is your job as the player to decide which route you want to play on - this will give you the content of your choice, but it does not change the fact all choices are possible. Best way to view LTNSI is like a multiverse, with all routes as canon, they are all possible Ariana's/MC's thus all of them are Ariana/MC - they are consistent in all of these being true and its up to them(us) on what we decide to act upon, but that wont change the other option was still a side/possibility that is there.

So overall I think the "humanization" of the characters is pretty good, the mix of themes is also pretty good if one can be objective rather than fixate on one specific genre, the FMC is borderline perfect for the games intent and imo one of the hottest around design wise. And specially the game is one of the best in use of such a basic engine, theres clearly a lot of work in expressions, positioning and rounding out the edges which makes it not seem like just some amateur throwing out whatever chimera he could put out together, at times I honestly even wondered if it was HS that was being used.

Now this is not to say this game is perfect, as I mentioned for starters I think a Pure Cheating route would work wonders given games themes and genres, so kinda a missed opportunity there. I also consider that scene transitions are abused at times, or some development have pacing issues (Sharing route takes a couple of scenes too much to divide between the light version or NTR version, light version of Sharing seems too eager to demonstrate its 100% consensual despite clearly trying to start off with Ariana testing how much teasing and kinks actually played into the situation - although I comprehend this as a coherent choice for fans that wanted to have clear waters regarding this routes mood being lighter and fully agreed upon since theyve had to wait months and their patience isnt going to be infinite, etc), it seems like almost every single NTR trope was thrown at once into the True NTR route, Ariana clearly takes the steering wheel making most other female characters not be used much (although given games length hasnt been defined this might just be temporary, we could get several scenes for each relevant female character by the end of the line), etc

As I mentioned this is not a conventional vanilla or swinging game, so it is divisive in reception and can make you doubt the characters many times - hell the characters question themselves. But overall this game has little fear of being itself and is one of the best first attempts ive seen at an H game, 4.5/5 stars from me.

Let the Nightshine in was a very enjoyable read for me.

It has been the cheating work that mostly took me back to my student youth. The main cast is depicted in a way that is very relatable and they more or less act as young people still trying to figure out who they are and what they want which may differ from their own self-perception and who they think they are/want to be. But none of them are pure evil or horrible people forcing someone else like it often can be in cheating and expecially ntr hentai.
The FMC is amazing to me since she is not the usual timid passive masochistic woman who loves being degraded sexually(At least so far) and also MC is very different from the usual to me. And the couple struggling to navigate this new thing brought into their relationship is very well paced.
Even some of the supporting cast, like FMC friend, bring a lot to the dynamic of the characters and has their own part to play other than just drive the main characters forward.

There is a huge cast of characters. It can seem a bit overwhelming at times but at the same time it might be the thing that makes it easier for me to buy the "young people navigating socially" premise.

Cons:
-At times it seem like some sex scenes are put in just to have a sex scene. This might be a boon to some of course who just want more fucking.
-The English is at times interesting. Not ruining anything for me but it might be annoying for some.
-The incestous stuff. Again a personal thing. I am not into this kind of content, not even stepdad stuff. And even if I rename them into roommates there are times in the story they are still pretty clearly meant to be the MCs parents. So I wish it was not like that. But I know a lot of people like this.

Love the game so far , would like to have more control over some scenes however so if artist cna go back to scenes and add custom options such as focusing on body parts , then it would be great.

Secondly , I really like the girls they feel good look wise and personality wise.

Hope the dev can improve on some aspects but rest of it can go good , also there are some smartasses that think they'll find novels written by Shakespeare in porn , please ignore them.

The author's initial comments for this game indicated a wonderful goal: "I was going to make intercourse not consummate just like that, without meaning." Unfortunately, I believe they've missed the mark so far. This review is from the perspective of someone specifically interested in vanilla/swing/share content. The vanilla story here is bare bones but I feel there's a good game in here underneath a lot of gunk, the main problem is that the themes and story beats are all jumbled and out of order.

To me, this feels like another game that presents only the illusion of choice to players. It's the most egregious example of "kinky must equal cheating" that I've seen in the VN genre. The love interest specifically gets off on the lying/cheating/humiliation of her boyfriend. Readers are inevitably railroaded into the perspective of a weak, dumb MC on a false flag "sharing/swinging" route, which can feel like a big time waste for those looking for swing/share content specifically. I've been confused as to why developers take the time to add these "path" choices in the first section of their games, when it's clear they intend to dive headfirst into mandatory cheating/humiliation POV content. Regarding characterization in these games, I see many discussions reference how it's important for authors to build tension and intrigue around the love interest without making them unattractive or driving the reader away. This author has driven what I imagine is the majority of swing/share readers into a cargo plane and flown them across the globe on a one way ticket.

The VN does establish an attractive love interest for the MC in Ariana. The author initially seems to understand the nuances in swinging/sharing vs. NTR fetishes (the characters even have cute research scenes where they learn about the fetishes). After building the reader's confidence that these character behavior nuances will be respected for each branch, an "Are you sure you want to activate the ntr/swinging/sharing routes?" prompt appears. Before the NTR and swing/share themes branch apart (and 5 minutes or so after confirming the non-vanilla path), the reader will look up to find themselves surrounded by the tall skyscrapers of Cuck City, with no way out. The MC somehow flip-flops between embracing the role of a humiliated idiot and demanding to be seen as a dominant alpha male for the rest of the story. He's completely disrespected by Ariana at every opportunity. The story explains Ariana's behavior through her inner dialogue and it's because... of how much she loves him? Trying to follow the thought patterns of these characters will leave readers with a headache. It feels like every character in the swing/share/ntr route is confused as to what their motivations are, have been, or should be.

Ariana is established as a "retired slut" and a lot of early scenes show that she's in love with the MC, prioritizes his needs, rebuffs advances from other guys, etc. All the good loving girlfriend stuff. The author really does a great job of setting up a believable "doing it for the MC" baseline, though perhaps the darker-than-usual backstory of the MC being cheated on by his childhood friend should have been interpreted as a foreshadowing of themes to come, rather than an indication of what the MC will be working to overcome in the story. The MC then shares that he had one dream about Ariana fucking another guy as a result of this, and that it might have turned him on. The very next scene of the game pivots to Ariana at her mother's massage parlor giving a hand job to the first customer (she never tells the MC about this or her new job). Ariana proceeds to cheat on MC with like 6 people in a few days, with no sign of slowing down, and the MC never finds out about what she's doing. That's unfortunate, since an MC getting that information (and how they process it) is central to swing/share/ntr path story conflict! Is Ariana supposed to be the "real" MC of this story? I'm honestly not sure. For some reason the writing of Ariana's thought processes at this point in the story still constantly remind the reader she's "doing it for MC." So many scenarios are set up with opportunities for winks/nods/etc. to clue the MC in directly and back this up, but she never shares details of these encounters or includes him. Ariana will tell basically everyone in her life EXCEPT the MC about her hoe tendencies, and performs some actions directly in front of others in scenarios where the MC could have easily been included as part of a swing/share story (e.g. a drinking party that other friends in the group were invited to). Look at how "Exciting Games" handles almost this exact same scenario - that's how swinging/sharing should be done. There's so much time spent reading about how Ariana goes crazy "because of the alcohol" or "because of the sex," but an equal amount of time is spent on Ariana consciously recognizing these traits only to do hoe stuff anyways, actively seeking scenarios to cheat and not tell MC. Over and over she has this thought loop, and then does the same things. The betrayal is coming from her conscious decisions, not a lustful or alcohol induced state of mind, we get it. Why waste the reader's time? Keep this loop going for awhile with a few sexy renders thrown in, and you have the jist of this game's entire middle story development.

I don't think all cuck POV fans are going to enjoy this format either, as even the obligatory "share what I did while giving you a handie" scenes are missing. In NTR stories, usually the MC has a clue about what's going on, and a sizable part of those storylines center on the MC suffering/coping with that loss of exclusivity/preference/priority with their love. This story doesn't have that, it's just following free use Ariana around as she takes advantage/gaslights her clueless boyfriend to justify her hoe tendencies - the depraved porn scene slideshow the author said they were trying to avoid when setting out to make this game. MC genuinely believes and is getting off thinking Ariana is just kissing one or two other guys. Mallory even tries to clue MC into what's going on at one point, and he gets mad at her instead of coordinating some kinky + fun payback. If we don't get to drop off a video at Ariana's house of MC and Mallory fucking by the time this game is over... The poor MC can't even get off on what's being set up "for him," because Ariana never shares the details outside of an occasional gifted "hint." It's always a direct lie about what happened. How engaging it is to watch our MC busting nuts 2 seconds into hearing how his girl kissed someone and apologizing for being a freak by asking her to use tongue next time. MC is lucky to hear 10% of what Ariana's actually doing with schlong dongs #1-50 (as a happy ending massage therapist now, unbeknownst to MC, 50 might literally be an understatement).

The MC also isn't allowed independent play with other girls while Ariana is off fucking the town, which is an important 50% or so of the sharing/swinging deal (and 50% of the expected content in these stories). There are many scenes of Ariana being mad at MC for having friends, helping randoms, or bumping into someone in the street and saying hello. Can we spend that development time on showing MC fucking Mallory (or anyone) while Ariana is out doing hoe stuff please? Of course not... because this is a toxic relationship simulator and Ariana usually punishes the MC for the disrespectful behavior of having friends by yelling at him, then getting drunk and fucking around at gangbang parties. MC does get some play with Mallory, but of course it's in an environment overseen and controlled by Ariana so she can "see what he feels" - guess MC will also be blowing the entire town behind her back next chapter.

Many scenes are also focused on Ariana straight gaslighting the MC, who is constantly apologizing for doing nothing wrong. "You don't trust me huh... that hurts..." wipes the fresh load from her mouth before kissing the MC, "We'll get to wake up together when we're married, but I need to go now" to MC, before lying and sleeping over with Tyrone/fucking all night, condoms for MC but not for thee, and all the other classic "I have absolutely no respect for you" tropes. All of this the author felt necessary to include in a pre-branch setup path for sharing/swinging content... that never really comes. Get to the sharing, get to the swinging, or get to the NTR! We don't need to see these two sit on a bed for 100 scenes talking about how Ariana's definitely not cheating (but is) and definitely loves and respects the MC (but doesn't). The reader needs to establish whether they want the love interest to be converted into a disrespectful, bitchy, disloyal, free use slut BEFORE that stuff happens in the story - not brought up in an option after all this has already taken place.

Ariana is one of the most disgusting, disloyal free use sluts in the sharing/swinging genre and without serious order-of-events editing it's going to be a monumental task to get readers to see her as an ideal swing/share partner. Ariana is built for the GGGB drug addled pregnant single porn star route, not a loving relationship. I say slut specifically because whores get compensated for a trade, while Ariana is in this specifically to get off on lying/cheating and humiliating the MC.

I hope the dev keeps chopping things up and sorts out the order of events properly to separate the lying/cheating from the rest of the kinky sex. If not, then I hope the MC dumps Ariana and his "friends" on the streets faster than most sharing/swinging enjoyers will dump this game!

Very happy with the game at the moment as it does use the Hs engine very well , most devs don't bother to pay attention to it and use default settings.

So as a dev , quite impressed with the attention he is giving to detail

I think this is a really good game. The FMC is hot and while she is a nympho, you have control over how she treats you. If you do the romance route, she would not cheat on you.

My favourite route is starting off as romance route where both parties are loyal to each other to build up on the NTR. And when the time is right, you can switch into the pure NTR route and the whole journey is really good.

I think why some people don't like this game is because while you are on the romance route, it is very easy to change into NTR/Sharing route if you make the wrong choice. Some of the players who dislike NTR probably got switched over accidentally and then thinks that the game is full of NTR.

The story is decent. I don't think it doesn't make sense like what some people claimed. Hope to see more corruption in the pure NTR route. I would like to see some type C where FMC is unwilling but slowly starts to enjoy it.

While I don't really enjoy ntr, I enjoy swinging and sharing genres. So I was hopeful to see some of those stuffs as it was mentioned in the tags. But this game was a disappointment. There is no swinging/sharing here. The MC is a cuck and all he is after is to get cucked and cheated behind his back and be oblivious about it. Also the choices don't matter. either you play vanilla which don't have any content yet, or you get cheated. It's like you are reading a borderline cuckold story without having any control over it.
I would've given it 1 star for the story but gave it another star because the female characters have huge boobies, and I appreciate big boobs.
