I'm more interested on the making of the scene, because unlike the transitioning BG from black to pink-red that can be achieved by in-game engine, those flash on silhouette and different facial expression are animated by hand (I think).
The red stripe help aligning the character, so either it use 3d room model as preference or hand drawn using the line as ruler.
