Ren'Py - Let's Split Up Gang [v10] [Hentaku Studios]

Very skillfully leading the progress of the heroine's corruption.
The graphics are first class and I keep my fingers crossed that the graphical level will be maintained. Clear progression and understandable next steps make the game easy and you don't have to break your head how to unlock something.

Let's Split Up Gang is a fairly simple trainer game in the vein of something like Witch Trainer or Soldier's Life. Compared to others in the genre, I found it to be very barebones and a oddly designed in my opinion.

The gameplay is where my first problem is. It basically just spam talking to Daphne and clicking through the sex scenes. There isn't a feeling that you're training her really since after the you convince her to kiss and strip for you, she basically lets you do whatever to her. There's corruption points in the book in your inventory but it is basically a meaningless number from what I can tell since there's no indication on how many you need to progress or even how many you earn per action. The grind comes in earning snacks for the outfits which is just unnecessary to have. Earning resources can be fun if there's progression in the amount you are earning, but here you're just mindlessly clicking the same option to earn the amount you need. It's a waste of time, plain and simple.

My second issue is the writing as it's all over the place most of the time. Velma is randomly a slut already whereas Daphne is completely naive to anything sexual, random cartoon characters make quick cameos to fuck you or to fuck Velma and Daphne with little build-up, and dialogue feels rushed. As I referenced earlier, after the initial kiss/strip Daphne gains several new sex acts you can do with her in any order which can result in inconsistencies in her behavior.

The good part about the game is the art. It succeeds at looking unique while being faithful to the OG designs. I like that Daphne isn't a big titty bimbo and has normal proportions. Sex scenes are animated and there's various kinks featured, including things you don't get in a lot of other games like rimjobs.

I'm giving this two stars but it's still worth a play if you like parody games. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a trainer game because you really don't do much training to get Daphne to the point where she's being tag-teamed by you and Johnny Bravo.

Simple, but straightforward trainer game. I very much enjoy the art, the pace isn't bad, and the media being parodied is one that is relatively neglected. It's not necessarily a critique, but I hope it gets kinkier as development continues, but even as is, it is enjoyable.

So far it's been a great game. Costumes are very cool and the characters are well rendered. Love the cameos and sex scene are fun . Keeping an eye on this game. The rest of the game is the great without to much puzzles. Other than that it still really fun.

This game is amazing... that's what I would have said if it were still 2018.

The story is... what it is... The gameplay is repetitive, and the dialogue is average.
Fortunately, the art is good!

All in all, I'd say the game is average.

BUT

This game is a good step back in time, to the era of corruption/style western games, under the renpy engine. This game is in fact the best of what was done ( imo ) in the golden age of adult games.

I know I'm not supposed to talk about other games here, but this game is exactly like the first chapter of FET ( for those in the know )

Finally, this game strikes a chord with me, and even if it doesn't deserve a 5/5, for me it's a good 4.

I genuinely want to like this game, since I love Scooby Doo, and it seems I am not alone, but progressing in this game is hair-pulling frustration. Events seemingly trigger for no reason as you click on dialog, the game crashes with errors often, and seeing the same dialog, like, "I should plot with Dinkley" almost every night and leading nowhere shows this game needs a lot more TLC, polish, and care before updates are released. There is seemingly no quality assurance, or testing, since most of this thread is filled with "I got an error" or "How do I progress?!?!"
And I do apologize for lowering my score, but I flat out don't find this game fun; and it should be, it is a Scooby Doo and Gang Porn game!

This is one of those games that I think should be explored once it is complete, since every time there is a new update, you have to start a new save file. Going through the same gameplay loop isn't fun, and having to reacquire all the unlockable costumes is tedious.
However, Let's Split up Gang is a fun title. The artwork is good, the sex if great, and it genuinely has great humor throughout.

Not enough here right now to give it more than 1 star.
FUN (1) The game is repetitive as can be. Fun factor and replay ability are low
H-SCENE(2) The scenes are like a repetition of 3 sprites but it has some scenes so far
LOOKS(1.5) The fact that all sex scenes are with a mongoloid looking guy bring this score down a bit.
STORY(1) what story? spam search or sex to get scooby snacks to unlock hanna barbera art that you get on the internet.

I've been playing since the first alpha dropped which was rough around the edges however the updates are super consistent and it just keeps getting better and better! The writing is fun and quirky, and the dev even starting getting VA's involved to bring it more to life. Very excited to see where this game goes in the future, I have a very good feeling the game will be extremely successfull! Keep up the great work NTR Critic!!!

Let's Split Up Gang gave me a lot of nostalgia, especially during the introduction. Although it seems like it is still quite early in the design process, there is a decent amount of content around Daphne that has some solid artwork. This could be a really interesting game in the long run.

I personally think the game will do well if it leans heavily into the story and playing on old Scooby Doo tropes. The sandbox section for me felt a bit less interesting to me (maybe interspersing sandbox sections and scripted story sections would work well). Also would love to see more build up and introduction to Red's character and more laying of the foundation for Daphne (and Velma's) corruption/NTR.

Solid start, keen to see where it goes.

could be a good hgame but currently too basic and too boring. needs either great story or way more hcontent that also serves the story. i think if youre going to use the Scooby characters the dev really needs to explore the full possibilities of leaning into ghosts and make it more fun and sexy instead of how dull or dry it feels so far.

tl;dr - A good parody game that is, for me, marred by it's overly comedic tone.

It's perhaps a contentious thing to rate it down only for a single aspect, but the tone really mars the experience for me unfortunately. I like the basic comedic concept and the tone, but I feel like it takes it just a little too far. Otherwise a very decent game and it's entirely subjective so you may enjoy it more than I.

Nostalgia and the artwork goes hand in hand.
The snippets of audio was a pleasant shock.

All in all there isn't much content, but there wasn't any game breaking bugs either. For an initial release this work isn't bad.

P.S. I'm biased if the art correlates with the original.
