VN - Ren'Py - Lewd Souls [v2.1.5] [Xetrift Studios]

If you like bleach, this is a nice parody of it. graphics are pretty nice, you get to meet the characters and have lots of fun with them. You get to name your character if you wish to. Go to school, fight hollows, pretty much what you see happening in the show/manga with a little extra curriculum activities.

Well i gave it a try and somehow wish i did not. The game definitely has a flawless ai art, which draw me in at first, but beside that i personally didn't found any other aspects about the game any good.

The game itself contains two separate modes - sandbox and story mode. While the girls are the same, the concept is different. I personally find that as mistake, why push with 2 different game modes and split your attention, when you can't make even 1 of them correctly.
- Sandbox mode: It is basically a corruption tag mode. You can talk over and over again with the girls, as you gain lust and trust points and request lewd things from them to do.
The big surprise here is quite big portion of this mode is locked ( such as poses, most of their outfits and also a whole girl entirely) behind a Patreon subscription. Other options with some of the girls are temporarily unavailable or in development. And i don't even consider all of that as a problem, because the game is lacking in more important areas, such as:

Text: Weakest part in the game. The text by itself has the power to arouse you, or completely bore you with it's bluntness and lack of emotions. No matter how good the art is or who are the heroines, with poor text the game will suffer in the end.
I wish the developer had spended more time into it. You just can't expect people to like a sex scenes with barely 10 short sentences to them.

No build-up: Considering the text quality, it isn't a suprise the lack of prestory or build-up whatsoever. You are given a default name by option, and you have no idea who this ''commander'' as most of the girls call you in reality is. You just start right from the get-go the corruption of the girls.

Same background melody, which after 10 minutes gets very annoying.

- Story mode: Consist of 1 single chapter so far, which take about 15-20mins to finish. There are apparently 2nd and 3rd chapters in development, which are about to be released in the future ...
I'm not familiar with bleach, so i really can't judge how accurate everything is or even if there is any attempt to be made accurate. But considering you wake up as obviously made-up MC and you attend a highschool with those bleach girls, i guess it doesn't have anything to do with the anime itself, except the identical look and the names of the girls.

Again i'll just have to repeat myself here about everything i said above about the sandbox mode. Very short, lack of text and build up. Girls are very easy to be ''undressed'', which doesn't provide any weight behind the short sex scenes.

Overall thoughts: I don't know what support the game has, but i don't see a good review future for it unless a thorough reconstruction is not made. And most importantly some adequate writer to be involved in the project - if being familiar with the real anime/manga even better, so he can depict the girls characters and temperament. The game is completely soulless and i can't imagine it get any dicks hard or any attention catched as of now. I'm not giving up on the game, and i really wish and hope it's gonna get the improvement it deserve.

Ironically this project lacks any soul. The AI art is mostly ok, though it is jarring when a character will completely change when a new outfit is sometimes selected. There isn't any plot to speak of and the LI's lack personality. They share dialogue responses that are copy pasted from each other. I think a better writer could have improved the games drastically. As is it is a disappointment that we do no have a better Bleach game available.

Decent modeling and the overall quality are good, IMO. The game is quite large in story but small: only 313MB. There have been many updates (20) in just over a year from the first post. (The first review is based on the initial release.) There is a very good amount of gameplay now.
There are many tags to cater to many tastes.
This game is overall positive, lewd, and fun. There are many characters.
It's just light, cool, and meant to be enjoyed... The story progresses quickly.
5-star for the comments mentioned above, mainly the steady updates with consistent quality.

Well lets sum this up.

''Bleach'' game with characters that behaves nowhere near their anime/manga counterparts.

5 minutes of actual ''gameplay'' + 10 mins of grind to unlock all free content so 15mins total.

Full game (free+paid) content playtime is 20 minutes at best. (25mins if I'm gonna count 5 minutes that it took me to remove the paywall from a code)

No animations - its a 2D game with AI CGs (not the worst quality but nothing to write home about)


Actual estimated amount of work/development that was put into this ''game'' : 1-2h.

My recommendation: If you want to fap to Bleach characters just google Bleach porn. You will find more and better material in less time, for free.
