Solid start, but has a few issues. Rating is higher than it deserves based on potential.
Status at time of review
Played the initial release here. There are currently two levels. The first is the spaceship halls with a boss at the end that doubles as a tutorial with tentacle/parasite enemies. The second is the botanical gardens with plant/insect type enemies. Botanical gardens has no final boss and you eventually end up at a blocked path that says "end of content."
Gameplay
Metroidvania style platforming but does not yet have any upgrades. Likely due to being the initial release. You can't angle your gun, so it's a lot of jumping around to get your horizontal shot at the right height. Definitely not great, but passable as a means of getting to the H content. The game is currently easy enough that the bad mechanics aren't too much of an issue and I easily reached the end of the currently available content.
Saving is all manual and you have to restart the level if you lose all your health. The final boss of the first level will give you a bad end if you lose, and if you didn't save you will have to restart the game and watch the intro cut scene again, so save at least once before trying the final boss. Other enemies just return you to the hub.
H Scenes
Pixel animations with a CG if you run out of health during the scene. Focus of current content is tentacles/insects. None of it looks great, but it's passable if you enjoy the type of content. Can't tell if CGs are AI, but I am leaning toward not. I'm not great at telling the difference.
About half of enemies have H animations. Seems to be chance based on any hit. Damage gradually breaks your clothes, but clothes damage doesn't seem to be a prerequisite for getting H animations since I have seen them happen on the first hit. H animations gradually drain health. You can mash Z to escape during certain parts of the animation. It's easy to get out and there is no lust mechanic or similar to make it harder. You have no access to heals that you don't buy at the hub, so letting an animation run its course to see the whole thing will leave you in a pretty bad state for the rest of the level.
For those into pregnancy, it's a heavy focus in the game, and part of the reason I gave it a higher rating. Every H scene so far has a risk of it. Some enemies do traditional (sperm into egg) while others do egg insertion in either hole. You can keep playing after a scene and eventually give birth, but it takes a fairly long time. You can immediately jump to birth in the medical room back in the hub. If you die to anything but the level 1 boss (does a bad end instead), you will be taken to the medical room and put back to full health.
You keep any status effects you gained before death including pregnancy, womb/anal eggs, and expanded breasts, but can heal them in the medical room room. You get the full birth animation if you choose to remove it there. Note that mashing Z cancels birth, so don't mash if you are trying to clear the status effect, only if you want to delay it. Animations are unique to the type of enemy that knocked you up and you give birth to one of them. Eggs will take a moment to hatch then become larva instead. Birthed enemies are hostile and just like the ones you encounter in the levels. Note that they will despawn if you leave the room or level stage.
There are placeholders for scenes with some of the girls you rescue, but nothing in the game so far.
Bugs
There are a handful of game breaking bugs to be aware of.
Once you rescue the girl in the botanical gardens, if you restart the level (for example after dying) and reach the point where she was, the scene will zoom in on the spot where she was and you won't be able to progress. It required a full quit and restart to get out and it becomes impassible if you saved after rescuing her. You are best off not saving once you rescue the second girl if you want to explore the second level more.
Once went into a birth animation but it never progressed to the next stage, leaving the character stuck in her spot and required a reload. This one seemed to be random as it typically worked fine.
